Friends - February 2007

My best friend all through highschool and after jest had a snowmobile stolen and told the police that i might have done it. I have a sled of my own why would i want his? After several trips to the police station and being hand cuffed to a table i was found innocent. The police told him that i was no longer a suspect and if he knew of anyone else to let them know. He then told everybody in town that i was me. I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone. I have asked to stop and he ignores me. I have been told to sue for slander. Do I?

I have been having a lot of dreams regarding an ex best friend's dad...(who has passed away some years back) he wants for me to relay a message that he is well,and okay...and that he would like to also tell his two daughters and his widow, how much he loved them..and that he was quite proud of and is still very proud to have been in their lives.(I sure wish I could dream of my own father...but, nope! I only dream about other people's relatives,and friends, as well as people whom I have never known in real life!!! LOL!) strange huh?!!!
SO, my question is...should I write to a mutual friend and tell her to tell my old friend about his "visits" or just never say a thing at all?
(I know that this is strange...but, I have also had premonitions in dreams and also while awake..,in the past...so I think that this dream might be not just "any old dream" ya know?! )

Question Details:So my friends started playing my least favorite sport, Badminton. Apparently, they love it, and I can't play because then there would be seven people. On top of that, my best friend, who doesn't go to my school, has started hanging out with his new friends. What should I do? We've been best friends ever since we were about 2. And I've been good friends with my school friends for five years. Any advice?

They are always so stuborn and overprotective that I don't know what to do. And to add to that my mom is moving me to a hole different STATE saying theirs NOT A SINGLE thing HERE for us and my friends WILL ask for her reasoning behind this and will take it as she dose not think that they are not worth much. That there friendship to me is not worth much. My mom is not in good graces with my friends and it will come back to bite me in the ***. I'm losing my mind here. That and I all ready have depresih that almost no one notices. So I really need some help.

i really like this guy, julian. and everyone says that he totally likes me, too. He even flirts with me soo much!
the only thing thats keeping me from a relationship with him is telling him that i like him. I dont know how and i hate rejection.
so guys, i need to know how you try to tell girls that u like them, like in ur actions and words, and if you like girls who tell you that they like you, and also, how you would want them too.
oh yeah ps we sit next to eachother and he is always trying to make me laugh, and he gets all blushy around me, and when i dont look, he stares at me alot, and at my lips too.

I met him several years ago, and we flipped for each other!! He was on a hunting trip with some of his friends from Lebanon, KY. I can't remember any of his contact information. All I do remember is that he lived in an area where all the streets were named after fruits and berries.
(This sounds crazy I know)
He was very tall, and kind of on the heavy side.(I didn't care) He had the kindest face and the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. I really need to speak with him. So many things were left unfinished.

i am 15 years old and my parents decided to move one town over from my original house. the town im in now doesnt have a highschool and we go to the highschool in the original town, but there is 3 different highschools (manchester nh is really big haha).they wont let me go to the highschool i would have gone to if i didnt move. they have no reason and cant tell me why they wont let me go, for the record i have done nothing wrong, no drugs, toruble with the cops, nothing.the school i would have gone to is much better both rules wise and educational wise, please help me convince them to let me transfer.

I have known this guy for ages - we went to primary school together - he and my brother are supposed to be best friends.

I became friends with his sister. But in the last couple of years his sister and i have had our differences. Last year I got to the point where I was fed up with her treating me like a door mat and I told her so. I got told later that night I had pissed everyone in her family off.

Since then I have not heard hide nor hair of my best friend. He won't ring me, email me, message me, or return my messages or phone calls. Is this all because I stood up to his sister and put me first for a change.

He had been telling me that I needed to put me first instead of putting everyone else before me and when I do - it's like he doesn't want to know me.

My brother has had trouble getting in contact with him and my sister-in-law has told him that he needs to contact me or he is going to lose me as a friend. When in fact he has nearly lost all of us.

What should I do??

I know it's probably jealousy on my part, but my best friend has gone too far. We used to talk about everything, now we can only talk about the guys she likes. She writes me lists of their names and what they're doing. And worst of all, she lied! She said that my boyfriend actually liked her, and I found out that she was lying. I had solid proof. I'm anorexic (at least that's what my friend calls me). I've been starving myself and exercising a lot for a couple months now, and I've only lost 13 pounds. My friend noticed, though, and she told everyone in our class, including my boyfriend. It's not their business. Now all anyone ever does is send me links to sites on anorexia and nutrition. Plus, my friend says she's going to tell my parents. Even though she's telling everyone, it seems like she's not really concerned, she just likes having something to talk about. She grins whenever she tells people. What do you think, and what should I do?

I'm in a education program full of professors and students who seem like hypocrites. Professors preach about how to treat students as individuals but treat us with coldness and indiscretion. My fellow classmates seem competitive, phony, and impersonal. I feel lonely and would like to feel welcome in the program but don't know how to go about it. It just seems like no one wants to be friends on a personal level. I try to open up to them but they are all business-like and stuffy. What can I do to feel safe/comfortable or find some fellow friends? I don't know how I am going to survive this! Can anyone relate? Does it seem like there is no warmth/community these days? Where do you find that?
