Friends - January 2007

Ok have a friend hung out with from age 19-40, last 10 years only seen a couple of times. Kids born together, lived a street apart hung out together...have not seen in about 5 years ( my husband on the other side has seen them her all along). She died yesterday, young (50). My son also spends time with their son. My question is I was going to send food to the family. My daugher says I should not because I have not seen her for so many years. I feel like I should. Need to find out what you think,,,should I send food over?

I have the opportunity to go to africa for a month, however I kind of told a friens I would go to new york with her for 5 days( I have already been). I dont want to let my friend down but Africa is to good of an opportunity to miss. How should I tell her if I decide to not tgo to New York. I dont want to ruin my friendship

she used to be really innocent and naive, but in the summer of grade 9, she started doing pot, and drinking and hanging out with wierd people. she left my school (which is private) and went to a public school. she's really popular, doesn't care about how she does in school, and seems to have a boyfriend every month. she goes to bad parties, calls me drunk, hooks up with random people. shes a really sweet girl. is there any way i can help her or redirect her onto the right path again?

My husband tends to collect friends who are obsessed with computer games, and while i like gaming, too, I need more than that. I'm moving from a very small town to Orlando, and other than my husband, I only have a small number of friends, who live across the country, and whom I never talk to anymore. I'm hoping to find some friends in Orlando, but I don't know how to approach people in such a way as to not scare them off. I've been a reject/loner since I was about 8 years old, and was incredibly lucky to find my husband, who understands me. But I still need people I can talk to, about things that don't interest him, or whatever. Girlfriends, I guess, is what I want. My biggest problem is I think I get too excited when people actually talk to me, and I end up making them think I'm crazy. If you have an idea, I'd appreciate it. I have hobbies, but they tend to be 1-person kind of things. I'm just not used to being around people who don't already know me. Thanks guys.

I have probably deleted herfrom my contact list about 5 times and then added her back on. I Can't stay mad at her for long because she would start complaining about how I am her only friend, and all that. I get really mad at her a lot and I honestly don't want to be her friend any more. were swimming at her pool and she did a pencil down to the bottom in the deep end while i was down there too and her top flew up when she did it. I know it was an accident and she does too but shes really embarrassed and its really awkward talking to her. I still want to be her friend but its gonna be really weird talking to her and looking at her. What should i do? Oh yea we're both 13.

sooo..i got a tattoo a week ago. I put the pics of them on facebook so all of my friends could see...some of my friends showed their parents...My mom owns a hair salon and some of her clients are my friends parents.....then they asked my mom about my tattoo...I hadn't told my mom yet! She then called and told my dad. My mom doesn't care that I got a tattoo, she was just upset that I didn't tell her...But my dad is mad about both things. He's strict and so concerned about what people think of me, especially my grandparents.

I feel so horrible..I wasn't hiding it from them...I was trying to find a way to bring it up into conversation. I was going to show it to them.

Help me find a way to appologize to my parents!

Well, I have been really sad and I actually have started cutting since the 2nd of December which is when I found out my best friend committed suicide and then on the 11 of January my other friend was killed. I am really sad and every one tels me im depressed. I'm thinking of suicide and I need to know if I am depressed so I can get help before I do something stupid. Please help me.

well last night I went to a hockey GAME WITH MY BEST FRIEND. (who is a girl) well during breaks we would walk and talk. well for the past few games these guys and his friends (who are about my age) keep following us and saying "sup" then smirking. Well in the last break we decided to sit down early, then there they dancing to some retarded song, I just stared at them like they were freaks and one said "what are you looking at?" then smirked again! My friend always expects me to jump through hoops for her and take care of her responsibilities because she isnt home. I would take care of her kid and her dog even though I have 3 small children of my own. She has become very offensive to me and my husband thinking that she is better than us which she isnt. No matter what we have or do she tries to out do us which is pointless and childish. She is my neighbor and I have not answered her calls or emails or knocks at the door for a couple of days. She is getting sarcastic and playing childish games to bait me into spending more time with her. Im so mad at her I don't want to talk to her but I dont want to make the neighbors mad at us. She doesnt even ask me to do things for her she tells me and expects me to do it. Im not a doormat nor do I need more responsibility. She thinks because I am a stayat home mom I am not worth anything. Im tired of it any help you can give?

I'm a 14 yr old girl and a couple of months ago I started getting this huge crush on one of my friends. The only thing was, she was a girl. I used to be straight before this. After struggling to come to terms with this, I worked up the guts to tell her how I felt since it was tearing me apart. She told me she was straight but that we could still be friends, only now we don't talk anymore. We used to be able to tell each other anything and I really miss that. How can I tell her that I want to be friends again without sounding too desperate or scaring her away again? I'm not exactly sure I'm over her yet either.

I go to secondry school
In my class I have friends
but 2 main friends
They are R and C
I taught R was ignoring me and said it and everything went away for a while until she did it again
This happened to c with R once for ages
and c was even going to leave school and go to a dif one it got so bad
It has happened a few times now and each time r says sorry but happens to do it again
The last time i taught it was r + c
whenever c isn't in r will want to be with me the whole day and talks to me more
its sort of the same with c except i think its r who is controlling her
when i confronted c + r about it c said that there was 3 of us and one of us is always gonna feel left out
why is it me? c know how it feels it has happened to her with r so why did she say it?could they have a special bond

also people I'm friends with are always telling me I'm being used
i know its true but i would like to get someone opinion
do r+c have a special bond ?
i don't want to loose friends

i have this friend. lets call her hannah. hannah liked this guy for a few months and started dating him after a while and they have been going out for atleast 3-4 months. just recently hannah has started hanging out with this other girl (rachel, made up name). hannah and i have been best friends for 3 years, and know, shes being really rude and is starting to ignore me. for our next semester classes hannah has 2 periods with rachel, only one with me, but transfered to the same class as i have so we could be together. now rachel has the same class as us. i dont really want to talk to hannah about it, because i dont want to reuin out friendship. but i dont also want to be left out and look stupid. i just want rachel to die. what should i do??
