You are grieving and you are depressed and that is natural. However, thought of suicide are not natural. PLEASE get help before it gets worse. You can actually go to the Emergency Room of any hospital and they will put you, voluntarily, into a mental health clinic for a few days for counseling and for medication. What's happening to you is terrible, but it's not really difficult to get better. You might only need 4 or 5 days of in-patient treatment and it is NOT like an insane asylum. It's just an in-patient client with one-on-one therapy for a few days and some medication to help you get through a rough time. You have every reason to be depressed, but you must stop this downward spiral you are in now.

Oh I'm so sorry for your losses but please don't even think about suicide. That doesn't solve anything. Think of how sad you feel because of your friends' deaths. If you were to do that, look at the hurt and sadness you would put your friends and family thru. No, honey, it's just not worth it. I understand the cutting, that is your way of dealing with the mental pain, but that is so harmful. You need to speak to a therapist or counselor as soon as possible. I know it seems like the end of the world right now, but things do get better, I swear. Eventually, with time, we all heal. It's perfectly normal to feel depressed, due to your circumstances, but the cutting and suicide thoughts are not. Please try to talk to someone as soon as possible. And, by the way, this is coming from someone who has been thru almost the same as you, and that was many years ago. Hang in there.

Ive been in a similar situation, but not quite as extreme, my best friend was killed by her father when he was molesting her and as we found out, this was a common occurance. The pain you are feeling for the loss of your friends is nothing compared to the pain your mother and father will feel losing you... It doesn't matter if u are not on speaking terms with them at the moment, they still love you. I believe you have a form of depression, however, I am not a trained professional in the field. I think you should see a counsellor. I did and it helped a lot. I blamed myself for not picking up the signs of abuse, but I realise now, that she wouldn't have wanted me to be in pain or upset, she would want me to remember the happy times... thats what you should do.... but first, seek help... you r human, everyone needs help, whether they admit it or not.

If you're cutting, you've got to seek professional help before you do some serious harm to yourself. The good news is that there are a lot of qualified people out there to help you. Find a good psychiatrist to see if you have a chemical imbalance that would respond well to medication. See if one-on-one or group therapy would be more helpful for you. Find someone to talk to and, most importantly, don't give up. There are people who care about you. Don't wait -- find help now. You'll feel a lot better and be really glad you did. Good luck to you.

Yeah, I've been there...don't do that. Not into cutting myself, but have gotten that low. Call a suicide hot line and talk to someone. When Monday comes, call a therapist and get yourself in ASAP. You may also need to be on meds if you've been this way a long time. But don't wait too long. Talk to someone right away. Or, if you don't feel comfortable talking to a suicide hot line, call a relative or friend...Sometimes talking to a stranger is easier...Good luck....and don't do anything....Suicide isn't the answer....OK?

Please seek professional help. You've obviously been through something very traumatic and a psychiatrist or psychologist could easily get you the right treatment. If you feel an urgent need to cut yourself - call a suicide hotline, it's toll-free and there are competent people there who you can talk to.

Don't worry about whether you are happy. Develop interests, activities, and friendships, be kind, help other people, strive to be virtuous, accept emotional pain, work on conquering your personal problems, and improve your thinking habits. These things will lead to happiness. Conquering your depression may take months or years, depending on its severity, how long you have had negative thinking habits, your personal problems, and how much effort you put into making the necessary changes.
Act Happy to Be Happy

The fastest way to change an emotion is often simply to act the way you want to feel. Act happy, smile regularly, act friendly toward other people, and participate in plenty of interests and activities, including fun things such as dancing. Don't wait to be in the mood to do these things-you may never feel like it. Depressed people who keep practicing these behaviors find themselves feeling more cheerful. With practice, these behaviors gradually become more comfortable and natural. Other people generally respond in positive ways to these changes, so you receive more pleasure and satisfaction in your life from them. Work on improving nonverbal behaviors that convey depression. Don't use a slow, quiet, bored, monotonous tone of voice. Show some pitch variation and enthusiasm in it. Use erect posture rather than drooping posture with downcast head and eyes. Use good rates of eye contact with other people and don't frown.

Certain kinds of written records help combat depression. Compile a journal or list of joyous experiences you remember. Describe your most special moments, including beautiful nature scenes, especially close moments with loved ones, fun times, a series of events that you particularly enjoyed, or spiritual experiences. Make another list of your positive attributes. Include your talents, qualities, virtues, accomplishments, etc. (Anyone who wants to help a depressed person can make such a list and give it to the person. Sometimes doing this for a depressed friend can make a huge difference.) Make a list of blessings you can be thankful for, too. Compile a collection of inspiring thoughts, quotes, poems, prayers, or affirmations. Affirmations are inspiring statements you write and then repeat throughout the day for self-improvement or emotional well-being. For example: "I will strive to be an example of peace and love for my fellow human beings," or "Let calmness and serenity fill my heart." Keep adding new items to these journals or lists as you think of them, and read them regularly to help keep your mind focused on good, rather than negative, things.

You have every good reason to be depressed. It's NORMAL after all that's happened. However, when depression lasts longer than a couple of weeks, you should seek outside help.
Look up "depression" under GOOGLE and see if you have the symptoms they describe.

wow, that must be very hard. it's not everyday you loose something special like a friend. but seriously, would your friends want you to kill yourself? i don't think so. for one thing, I don't want you to kill yourself. sure life has a lot of pain and suffering, but if you didn't feel pain, you wouldn't know what joy, bliss, or happiness are. it's normal to be depressed, but please don't cut yourself. just think of this: would you want to cut yourself in front of your parents or grandparents? i think you need to find someone to talk to, whether it be a friend, family member or phychiatrist to share your heavy burden. things like this shouldn't be held up inside. you need to express yourself before you explode, or like you said earlier, do something stupid. life is precious, because you only have one, and it's nonreturnable. life is worth living, hang on, okay? best of luck!
