I've gone through bad relationships and got good friends. I wonder and ask you "Friends are better than other relationships ?" Agree or Not ?

We had a little arguement (which i started) and since then nothing has been the same.were ok now but not just as close. in the time that we weren't talking to each other he found this new guy to hang out with and i know it sounds childish but i get really jealous each time i see them together. my friend doesn't even acknowledge me around him. =[ i really miss being able to talk to him about everything......

Hi,

I am 14 years old and have a problem. I have alot of friends who are males, but not to many that are females. I think that i am shy around girls in some way. That makes me say things that are....artificial. Like when i am with guys i am funny, and i have a good time. But when girls are there, i am mellow, laid back and think to much. I say things that i think about befor, wich is artificial i think. I want to be able to feel just as comfortable with girls as with boys. For another example, i get this feeling when i wrestle, everyone is watching and i am up, 1 on 1 againtst this other guy, i lose in front of everyone. Then when i challenged him at the practice room, i won. Like i said i think to much. Any suggestions?

ok my best friend for 1 year is kianna. ive been thinking really mean things about her and i feel so cruel inside. the story is: i made friends with kianna (kia) early in 2006 when i started high school. we were good friends but had little in common. i was new in the school and we were both loners and hung in the library everyday for a couple months. i made new friends with this girl called meghan (meg) in my drama class and i made friends with her best friend, emma. emma, meg and kia are in the same class and meg and emma really dont like kia. i started hanging out with meg and emma because (im a bit overweigh) they were funny, made me feel confident and were really great friends. i started to ditch kia, i kno it was mean. and because emma and meg dont like kia, we were telling secrets (mean things) about her and laughed about her (she is very overweight) and i kno it was wrong but i was under pressuer. they were my only cool friends and i sisnt want to lose them (STORY CONTINUES)

I wrote a personal letter to a friend about how she was living her life and she showed it to other people. It really hurt my feelings that she did that. The letter was about her life and how she is not taking people's advice. How she is lying and not telling the truth about anything. She is a Christian but she does not act like it.
Anyways, all that a side. I told her that I did not want to be in her wedding because she showed everybody (but her family) the letter I wrote too her and her family. Should I reconsider not being if the wedding...if there is a wedding?

i have been BEST friends with this girl since the 6th grade. Yea im only in 8th grade but i feel as tho im SOOO close to her and that i dont wanna lose her. but the thing is, i screwed up and i REALLY want to get her back but this is te second time i screwed up. basically i ditched her once and i promised that she meant so much but i was stupid and i ditched her again. i need her as my friend again because i feel lost without her. how do i get her bak as my friend??

I just got off the phone with a long lost friend I haven't talked to in almost 7 years. It was my fault that our friendship ended, but at one point, her and I had the best friendship anyone can imagine. We were roomates and shared our whole lives with each other. We were never involved in a romantic relationship, just a very intricate friendship. Her and I would exchange our opinions on everything from our relationships to politics to religion and everything in between.

Well, just before Christmas I recieved an e-mail from her telling me that all that was ever needed from me was a simple apology. After apologizing to her, she gave me her phone number and told me to give her a call sometime. Tonight I finally called her and we talked for about 30 minutes. She's supposed to be calling me back shortly, but I'm confused. I just moved about 6 hours away from her, and she's telling me that she would love to get together to catch up and hang out. What should I do?

My other friend told me that if I choose to further my relationship with this guy, I would have to tell my friend who likes him aswell, but how do I tell her without her hating me or freaking out? I had a crush on a guy I work with and then I found out he's gay.. he knew that I liked him and said that we could still be friends..I got his number and I texted him a few times and recently we kinda became good friends..or so I thought. We hung out for a little bit last weekend and when he left he said that we could do it again sometime, but since then he's hardly talked to me. When I text him he doesn't text me back and when he does it's kinda just a quick text. I asked him if he was upset at me for something and he told me that he's not, but I can't help but feel like he's not telling me something..then I find out from 2 different people that he's decided to go straight but he wants to wait until he moves away so that he doesn't ruin his "rep". Ok here's the thing-someone in school whom i don't know is really giving me a hard time. On Friday, i came back from break and suddenly, my classmate asked me why did i scold her and hearing this, i was thus taken aback for i did not scold her. So i told her that i didn't do it and i asked for the person who said that. She then shouted at me saying that it was none of my business if i didn't scold. But i only asked her just so i can find the person and try clear up the mess. Now she (my classmate) is pissed with me. How am I going to ever find out who said such mean things about me?

My two friends backastabbed me at lunch on Friday. They told two kids that I said they suck (I didn't say that) and now the two kids hate me. I don't wanna sit at their table anymore but I have two other friends who sit there. I have the option of sitting next to some other kids that I know and I think they're a lot nicer. What do I do? My bestfriend only calls me when she wants to hang out. Half the time I can never get a hold of her. And when I talk to her she always says she has to go and do somthing. and then Ill find her online and ILL ask her why she isnt doing what she had to do and she will make up an excuse. when we hang out she calls me names and says I dont know anything. and ILL tell her thats not cool and she will say o Im just joking and she does it all the time. I dont want to stop being friends with her because of it but it realy bothers me. Iv tried talking to her but it doesnt work what should I do? help!

I am in my 40's, and a full-time student. I have been in many classes with some younger women, like in their 20's. This one girl who is 22 got into our carpool with us. (We drive an hour to school from our town.) She started doing things like making a doctor's appointment for a time 20 minutes before we had to leave for school, on the night of our midterm! She never cleaned out her car for us, and once had us stop by a friend's house on the way home from school, for what we thought was a quick errand, and we ended up waiting in the car for 30 minutes, and she came out with a gift and a piece of cake! I have tried to be nice but when the new semester started none of us wanted her in our carpool again. She finally asked what was up when we didn't communicate as much, so I came out and told her (in an email) about all those times. Is it wrong to finally come out and tell someone what a jerk they are being to you? I figure somebody's got to tell her how she really is sometime!

Here is a summary of my situation, I'm new to a city and have really no friends. I'm 22 and currently working at a fast food restaurant, the people that I work with are really the only people I know. The majority of them are in high school (17 - 18 age range) and really are good people. Now there is a manager who is also 22 who throws partys every weekend and thats where everyone goes to hang out. He buys alcohol for them and sounds like the have pretty good time. I have been invited and I really won't to go out to do something but I guess I just can't bring myself to go out and drink with a bunch of minors. I don't feel like what he is doing is right but the feeling of being left out is overwhelming. Like right now I'm typing this at my computer instead of doing what there doing. I also feel like he should be stopped from what he is doing, I don't know if that is just me being envious of not being with them. Should I take any action? f so what would you suggest?
