I just moved into an adults only apt complex. when i'm on my balcony, I see lots of people having fun, but don't know how to approach them, i'm pretty shy around real people

I never see my friends anymore.

It's all because I went to college early (Which I do not regret!). Sure, I've met a lot of great people there, but new friendships are really tough to keep strong when you're a commuter who can't drive. And even though I still live near my high school friends, they all seem way too busy to ever hang out anymore. All I have is my boyfriend and my parents... Anyone else in a similar situation? Should I wait it out or force my friends to take time out of their busy schedules to see me?

She locked me out of her room as a joke and i over reacted by getting relly mad and crying cuz i thought she was being mean and now shes crying and stuff because it was just a joke and she didnt hear me yelling to let me in. She was hurt that i thought she relly meant it. I relly miss her. The problem is, she won't take a sorry and i have been begging her to forgive me.

well my group of friends sort of split up. basically this girl hates me and she said that she didnt want to be my friend anymore. now everyone else idolizes her, and always do what she tells them to. so they went along with her. but one of them is pretty close to me, so she stayed with me. everyone else is always asking me why im not hanging out with them(they dont know that we got "kicked out"). now i tried to be nice to the person who kicked me out, but she was never nice to me. the other person that i hang out with now is um.......the least popular kid in the class.i just want advice wat should i do?

looking at today's youth oriented society,
the 20 somethings and teens are worshipped,
and the more they accomplish, they more we heap praise on them. but there are so many 20 somethings like me, that have
not done anything great.
does that mean im a failure?
why are people going after the joneses younger and younger?
discarding all sense of principle and morality for that first million bucks before 30. whi is 30 such an important age threshold?

A friend of mine from school was added on my msn messanger last year after we left school and we exchanged numbers a few months ago but didnt call because i was uncomfortable with that - we only texted each other and continued talking online

i called him a couple of days ago and spoke to him for 2 hours (though, i thought it would have only lasted 5 minutes)

Now he wants to progress from msn conversations to phone conversations, like only talking on the phone and not any more on msn - i dont want that - i want to remain msn buddies, nothing else....maybe calls only once in while

Ive told him already that i dont wana talk to him on the phone because i dont want to get into any habits, but he still calls me wanting to talk to me and isnt backing down.

How do i revert back to just msn conversations again? he is a good friend, but is the type of person that knows i back down easily.

i don't really have a family.
i have friends but i don't really see them because they all busy and same live far away.
i learn be just be by myself alot and i am use to it now.
still some time i want to belong in a family.
my mother said that i was a mistake and all the bad stuff that a parent shouldn't tell to a child.
i used in a positive way, i am in college doing what i wan to.
i go to movies myself, i everything myself.
some time i talk to my friend on phone and i feel that it good to keep them around even do i am not with them physically.

i am not bad or anything i just wanted to know if there are people out there who can relate to my story
and how u survive

I have been called names by my mother in law & my kids have been treated like out cast by my mother in law & I would rather not see her at all for any holiday but I sit there & smile & take it. This year I'm going on my own with my kids that she has nothing to do & I will see her when my husband is off work. Now why would you think I'm being selfish. I have been there for the last 15 years can I have a break?

I want to go to my friends house for Thanksgiving & my husband is at work until 7 pm. My in laws think I'm being an a@# but I just want to do something different & be around someone I enjoy being around. Ok i have a big problem in life right now !! Everyone thinks that i'm gay because i hang out with girls too much, but I barely do !! most of my friends are guys !! and I don't like it when people talks about me !!
