looking at today's youth oriented society,
the 20 somethings and teens are worshipped,
and the more they accomplish, they more we heap praise on them. but there are so many 20 somethings like me, that have
not done anything great.
does that mean im a failure?
why are people going after the joneses younger and younger?
discarding all sense of principle and morality for that first million bucks before 30. whi is 30 such an important age threshold?

Good grief, you have just barely hit the ground, You have 45+ years left to become a success, and also as you mature you definition of success will dramatically change, and also you might look at the picture in front of you and think stepping stones. Education(first stone) job (2stone) good relationship(3 stone)so in fact you are already on the road to success that is where the saying came from and best of luck

like there was this famous artist, georgia o'keefe who only started painting after she retired, or something

and people only become presidents in their 40's 50's and 60's

so yeah, there have been A LOT of people who only accomplished something great later in their life
