Friends - October 2006

I have this friend who is really cool and all but sometimes she can be really bratty and gossipy(is that a word?) you know? I mean her and a lot of my other friends gossip a lot about one of my other friends that doesn't hang out w/ that group. I'm not sayin I don't gossip from time to time but I think they should be more careful about who they gossip about in front of dif people. What should I do about my first friend trouble and my second?

I see alot of answers so far and alot of requests for more info. Her husband and I have always had a brother picking on sister relationship. Whenever they needed money, I was there. Babysitter? Me again. Sick? I was there to take care of them or the kids. Go out of town? I took care of the house. When I met my boyfriend, I was not always available anymore. I met him thru a dating service and at first she was encouraging but it seemed the more attention I paid to him, the more weird she got. I hadn't dated in a verrry long time and she was used to having me at her beck and call, I think. My boyfriend tried to be friendly but her husband banned him from the house after the one and only time we had broken up and 4 years later,it still hadn't changed. I don't know why both of the friends we have in common stopped talking to me. I can only guess that one of the two, who seems to have taken my place as always there,do what you need, is just going along with whatever my former friend is sayin

My friend of 17 years and boyfriend of 4( now fiancee), don't like each other. He has always been civil but she ..not so much. I had a problem with her in aug. which I emailed her what was wrong and instead of talking about it, sj=he blew up.I didn't yell,swear, etc..just expressed what was wrong. A week later, I got engaged. She was the first person I called. She picked a fight and was yelling and swearing. I saw her a week later at a bday party and she said she loved me to death but was done with my fiancee. I didn't hear from her for 3 weeks and then I started getting emails telling me how rotten I was, my family was, my fiancee, how screwed up everyone was,claiming I was the cause of marital problems between her and her husband for years....I kept my mouth shut. I attempted once to apologize for anything I had done to upset her and just got more nasty email and a phone message. The friends we have in common also haven;t spoke to me since aug.
So what do I do? Are we done?

My friends have been kind of excluding me a little bit. like for weeks ive been asking them if they want to get together and do something on halloween but they just kept telling me that they dont know what they're doing yet. And then the night before halloween i asked them if they wanted to hang out or something. And they said that they were going to a movie with their other friend. And they didn't even invite me! what should i do!!??

I go to his home together after school because my parents aren't home and i'm locked out until they do get home. He lives across the street from me. On that day he patted me, at his house he talked me into taking a shower with him. I didn't see anything wrong with that because his dad has a big shower thing in the celler and its like a school shower with 4 shower heads. We were showering and he kept talking about oral sex and asking me if I ever had it done or did it and I said no then he said he wanted to see what it was like to give sombody oral sex so I joking said ok. He got in front of me and he did it to me. Now I am afraid he will get me to do it to him. He is always trying to talk me into doing it. I keep saying no and I am afraid he won't let me stay in his house if I don't soon do it. I don't have anyplace else to go and it's getting too cold outside to wait for my parents to get home. If I just do it and get it over with, will he leave me alone? what if i like it?

my so called bestfriend slept with my now called ex-boyfriend i had to hear it from other people. I thought this guy will never cheat on me and i also thought she was my friend. Is this a place where you can make friends or just a popularity contest? I've seen people who have over 100 friends and I really don't think this person would consider at least ten of them as real friends. I think this website is more about how many acquaintances you know, rather than how many real friends you have.

Is there such a thing as a friendship website online? I want to make new female friends and find that all the sites are dating ones! A few mates have all moved from this area over the years, and Im finding it difficult to find new ones. Im 42, single with no kids and find that most woman my age are married with kids and even grandkids and they are busy with their own lives. I have a great boyfriend, work part time, but never meet any women I have anything in common with. Any ideas?

I have a friend who has been pretty depressed lately. He lost his mom from cancer when he was in fifth grade (We are both 14 now) and his father has been in jail since he was four. He's been thinking about it a lot lately but yesterday he told me that he was mad at god and that he sometimes thought about giving up and killing himself. How do I explain to him that he can't? He's fine now but if it comes up again I need to tell him something more. I told him that his grandparents and tons of people care about him and would be extremely sad if he did that, especially his dad and he told me that he'd think his dad would kill himself he did commit suicide so I said exactly, you can't do it and he said at least we'd be together! It scared me to death. He promised he wouldn't do anything, but thats because I bursted into tears and I know this conversation is going to come up again tonight and I need help on what to say to him to prove to him that woudl be the stupidest thing he could do.

ok so here it goes. two of my friends kissed and the guy had a girl freind. well the girl who was kissed by him ( the one whos not his gf) called and asked 4 advice. i called in other reinforcements and one of them told every one and now it looks like i told every one and the person who told is spreding rumors about me. how should i tell my friends that i was trying to get help not hurt anyones fellings? and how do i tell the now ex gf that i didnt tell her because he wanted to tell her. i was stuck and had to choose between three friends that mean alot to me. was i wrong should i have done something differently? help!!!!!!!!!!! For some reason, I keep getting these feelings that the people close to me don't really care for me that much. I have a really close friend that I look up to like a big sister. She is 28 and I am 19. We do lots of stuff like shopping, going out to eat, and just hanging out a lot. I feel comfortable around her, and we have been close for about a year and a half. I think she is a really awesome person and I look up to her. Even though she doesn't do anything at all to make me think she doesn't like me....I always seem to get thoughts in my head that she doesn't like to hang out with me as much as I do with her. It seems like I've always felt this way with many other ppl close to me also. Am I the only one who feels this way???!!!! It always makes me worry about it all the time like I will lose her friendship or something, but there's no way that could happen. I just wish I could stop thinking bad thoughts all the time and just relax?

This past summer I got into a lot of trouble and I was doing alot of bad things instead of my two supposed best friends coming to me and telling me that if I were to continue on this track they wouldn't be able to be friends with me. so they left me when I need the most help. what were they thinking and why leave soomeone like that. My sisters best friend works as a adoption counselor. B/c she didn't approve an adoption to a family the agency was taken to court by the family trying to adopt & brought up character flaws on the part of (our friend).Our friend was then told by her supervisor that she had smelled marijuana on her a couple times and suggested she take a drug test, our friend then resigned giving a 2 week notice knowing they will not only will they find weed, excasty (for her sexcapdes lifestyle) and non-RX percocet will be discovered. This friend of ours will be obtaining her masters in social work and education in two semesters and has plans to work w/ children, again. My sister says oh well she can move on to the next job, that I am overreacting about the friends drug problem. I say our friend has a duty to stop, that employers can find out why she was fired (this is the 2nd firing) she will ruin her chances if she dosen't get help w/ her drug problem. I will rat her out if she works again!
