Friends - October 2006

The giver is a lady I have known for just one year. For this past year, I have been overly generous towards her and her family. With my time, money, efforts, you name it. I recently gave her children expensive and thoughtful gifts, straight from the heart. She gave my child an outfit that clearly was given to her child 2 years ago. She lied to me about where she got it. When I finally figured out where she bought it from and tried to return it, I was told I could get a credit for only $2!! Its not like she couldn't afford it. They are quite well off. I just feel bad, because my generosity was wasted on them. I really didn't expect such cheapness from her. The outfit is too small for my child, but it would fit her child just fine. Is it ok for me to return it to her at this point? (My child's birthday was 2 weeks ago.) What would you do?

ok well i had 2 best friends who r girl & 2 guys.
well one guy & gurl date & the other 1 i used 2 like.
the best friend i hadnt mentioned name is kay. She is my best friend ever & we spent all weekend 2gether!!
however yesterday at school i was feeling sick & she kept messing with me & i had just told sum1 that & wen kay kept messing with me & i turned away from her she kept asking wut was wrong & her stupid boyfriend who was sitting there said "she told sum1 she was feeling sick but i doubt that!" then i said something then kay whispered sumthing 2 him & he agreed & she was like sorry kim but its true! lol. i wasnt very happy and plus wen im sick i get upset easily so i got up & went 2 sit next 2 my other best friend & she said sorry eddie is sitting there but its ok cuz eddie is my best guy friend so i sat next 2 him then she called me alot later than usual but ofcourse i was eating & i told her i could talk so she said U HAVE NO REASON 2 B MAD @ ME! & hung up. now she says

i talk to this lad online and ive been talking to him since march(i think) and we used 2 always talk alot but since i started university hes been kinda distance with me and we hardly talk and also he seems diferent to what he was like before. i think he may have got annoyed with me because i said i couldnt meet him and that i didnt answer his calls(my fone was on silent!!) but hes coming to birmingham this saturday and i was going to tell him that i could meet him but now im not sure because he seems so diferent and im not sure if i like that.

i used to like him more than a friend and he said he kinda did too but i didnt really believe him but now im just so confused grrrrr!! does anyone know what might be going on with him at first i thought that he really wanted to meet me and then he couldnt be bothered to talk to me just because i didnt answer his calls either. but now when he talks to me its always around the same topic.
i dnt want to lose him as a friend cus hes really nice!!

He's a new acquaintance and i know he's got no malice in him. he'd be a loyal, lovely friend and we have lots in common but i can't shake an uncomfortable feeling that he'll suddenly put his hand on my knee one day. he behaves as though we've known eachother a lot longer than we actually have and he's not that socially adept. I feel guilty feeling like this and have no solid justification for it but...here's the question... How do i deal with him? keep going and hope the weird feeling goes or let it cool?

I have been knowing this guy for a few months. I met him at work and we would have lunch and stuff together everyday and text and call back and forth. He calls me and I call him. Well he got laid-off and I broke up with my boyfriend the same day, so we had sex that night. We talk or text often and he seems like he likes me. We have had sex quite a few times since then, but he's also spent the night and not had sex with me on several occasions. He sometimes says things that makes me think that he is interested in a relationship, but I don't know. I am new to this whole single thing and I don't want to just come out and ask him too soon and push him away. How could I tell him that I don't want to just have sex with him without making it seem like I am giving him an altimatum? Does he really like me?

He's a really great friend and all despite he sometimes has snobbish ways but he honestly has either poor hygiene or something along those lines because he oftentimes has this scent that's pretty much horrible...And what's worse...people that have given him car rides also state the same thing. It's not a kind of no deodorant scent, it's more like he barely showers O_O and in a place like Puerto Rico, where the heat is constant, a shower is practically a requirement. I don't know how to even aprroach him of this...and what's worse...his more closer friends don't want to say it either...and I wouldn't like to avoid him and more so because of something that can be fixed...but...it's plain horrible >.<

OK she is really mean and always hurts my feelings. She has no friends, accept one that is like forst to like her. One of my best friends doesn't like her and neither do I but the girl with no friends thinks that me and my BF are her BFF's but neither of us like her. Now she pulls three girls around includeing my best friend. I don't want to be her friend and neither does my friend but I don't know how to break it to her... Seriously though, no drugs or silly comments. If you know you have a friend who is in a very fragile state of mind where nothing seems to have any meaning anymore, or really matter, what do you do? Counselling has been discussed, but I think it's too far gone for that. Granted misery does not need company it needs help, so what help can one offer? It feels so helpless..

Sorry to keep asking these questions, but I am quite alone in this world. I met a 7th day Adventist in a job a while ago and although I no longer work there, she keeps asking why I don’t reply to her emails. She gave a book for me to read once on end times and because I hadn’t read it, she said, “Satan is keeping you from reading it”. The thing is, I don’t want to be part of her life and I stupidly gave her my home phone number. She rang last night and my housemate answered it. He told her I wasn’t in and she asked him where I was now working and said he didn't know. I don’t want her to ring my home number again either. I don’t know what to do. She helped my mum once and she gave her advice about her health matter and although I gave her some flowers to thank her, I wonder if this colleague is making me pay for her advice?!

She's my best friend but I just can't stand her kids...They're so badly behaved and I really don't want to tell her how to rear her kids!! I have two also and I would never let mine run riot the way they do!!! she just accept me as a friend. but sometime she look at me and give me a really sweet smile. but sometime she's with another boy who are the same age as her. (she's 14). in every letter that she wrote to me always give me some hope. what should i do????
