To me an independant man is a man who can hold down a job and make his own money not haveing to borrow it from someone he has his own vehical and has his life together. Also he should have is own home.
Its a hard dating life there really isnt a whole lot to choose from anymore and i think women are just getting desprate so to speak there for taking what they can get.
I myself have a boyfriend hes pretty independant for the most part although he needs to work on some things..no one is perfect.

Not living with his parents when he's old enough to be supporting himself and an appartment. He would have to have his own set of morals and values and not swayed out of them by those around him (if he knows that they are definately good morals and values to chase after them) An independant man is one who knows atleast in part his lifes plan of defining his work, relationships and financial security for the overall future. I think also that in his independance, there was flexibility in knowing how and when to ask for help from those around him.
