I just want some outside opinion on the situation. My fiance's mother has had several bad marriages, and her current one is failing. She has 5 children, my fiance being the oldest. One of her sons is 13, while the others are 3, 1, and newborn. So, her current husband is an abuser both verbally and physically. She is currently separated from him, but that happens all the time. She moved to Michigan for him, but has now come back to Georgia for this separation. (that's where we're all from,) She (fiance's mom) has suggested that perhaps we take the 13 yr. old to live with us for a while. We have one car, I'm in college (on a working scholarship, so no off-campus job), fiance has a job that only pays $8/hr. and we live in a one room apartment. we could move, but we just moved in. AND he has Defiant Disorder (slang) and ADHD. She says she'll help us out on money, but that won't happen. But it would get him out of an abusive home and keep him with family. What do you think?

Hi, I desperately need help with a problem that I've had for a very long time. I have absolutely no people skills. I have trouble opening up to people and I get nervous when I'm talking. I try so hard to smile and be a good person, but I guess I always fail. People constantly walk all over me. I really hate this. I hate not having any friends. I'm amazed that my girlfriend even loves me and stays with me. I have no confidence, and I am sure people sense that. I grew up in an abusive household where talking was not an option. My mom always told us to keep our mouths shut, so we wouldn't upset my stepdad. I spent 6 years of my life smoking and drinking. I've quit both for over one year now, but it seems like I'm stuck in the same rut. I just want to be able to smile and have a great sense of humor like I once did. I miss the days where I could laugh at anything. I am very intelligent in the sense of "book smarts," but I lack everything else. Any advice?

i have known him forever, he's one of my sisters old friends. i remember when i was about 14 i had a crush on him....a BIG one, i'd never liked someone so much. he moved away a couple of years ago. now he's back! and the crush is back, thanksfully not as painful as last time.

today he asked me out....i NEVER expected that. i said yes, well, of course i was going to say yes! but now i'm not so sure, it's a big age gap considering we're both only teenagers, i mean, it would be different if we were older. what should i do!

he's a very nice guy and i wouldn't do anything stupid....believeeee me! aslo....errrr maybe he thinks i'm 17...oops...

going thru a divorce...he wants it to be uncontested but i want alimony i dont make much about 700 before taxes every 2 weeks we have 4 children 1 isnt at home anymore the others are 16 soon to be 17 the other 2 kids are 13 and 10......he pays child support ..i should say when he does........anyway i know he makes alot more then i do.....is it my right to get alimony .....please help me in answering this i am clueless and cant really afford a lawyer....i tried legal aid in the state i live which is ny and they dont help with divorce.....

Recently I've been trying to figure out how to tell if a guy likes a girl. Like, do they act differently around girls they like? And if so, how? I know it's different with different guys, but in general how do guys act around girls they like? I'm sorta into one of my guy friends, but he flirts with everyone so it's hard to tell who he actually likes. Any advice is appreciated. I know this is kinda of lame, but I'm a teenager. I am all for everyone using this site, of any age. I like that the younger members are using the singles and dating too. I only wish they would use it more for important questions (that they may be afraid to ask parents) rather than " Does he like me" or " How many times have you been asked out".You guys should remember that this isn't a chat rom. But it is somewhere you can ask older kids and adults about stuff and get really good answers. Try to write questions that will help you and not make the adults on here feel like you are wasting their time. If you want to know if she/he likes you , just ask THEM! None of us know that so why ask here. Have fun. Stay in school. Flush twice to be sure.

Here's the deal, my ex-boyfriend and I were together for 3 1/2 years. We basically broke up because I wasn't ready to settle down and have kids, yet he is. I guess he started to resent me so we broke up last March. I was hurt when he said he didn't love me anymore. Now it's been 10mths since we broke up (and he was almost out of my system) but he started coming back around as of last month. So to my surprise, he's been affectionate and lovey-dovey again. Well, here's the kicker...he told me right after we broke up, he got a girl pregnant!! Could I be anymore hurt? So, ofcourse I still love him the same as I always did but now I'm confused. He says he doesn't even want to be with the girl. I'm not sure if that's game he's running?? I don't wanna cut him off completely. Guys, what the hell should I do??

Why do you think that none of these officers are being court martialed?
