This weekend he's going to a coaches convention and he'll be staying at a hotel. (He told me this) I will also be down there at the same time as him but in a different hotel for a different reason. Should I tell him or will it freak him out? I want to tell him so maybe we could hang out or something but i'm afraid to. What should I do?

ummm if you're friends or kind of talk... just be like oh i heard you're going to cincinatti this weekend! i am too! i am competing an ice skating competition on friday. maybe we should hang out.
of course if you don't talk to him at all... then it might be kind of awkward to have a random girl to him that she knows where he'll be this weekend...

Tell him."Small world, isn't it? I'm going to be in XXX too that same day (or weekend or whatever) for a such and such convention (or whatever). Then ask do you want to meet one evening or afternoon for lunch or a drink since we don't know too many people here?"

why would he freak out ? spending nice time with nice girl is a guy dreams... let him know that u are there but don't ask him if u can hang out.. let him ask u that ! and if he doesn't then.. don't say anything

if you tell him now it will give him time to anticipate you beingh there. most likely he will want you after he thinks about it for a couple nights (sounds to me like a lucky guy)
