The other day someone was surprised because I said I'm proud to be single . Why would anyone be surprised at that ? Is there anything wrong with being proud to be single ?

ok, my boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year but it seems that when he goes to visit his family I don't talk to him. He has family that lives about 20 minutes away then more that live about 4 hours away, however last time he went to see them I talked to him for maybe 10 minutes one day then didn't talk to him for 2 days. His family knows about me, but it doesn't make sense on why he won't talk to me in front of them. He's a great guy, always treats me good, but something's not adding up. I'm on the verge of ending it...any advice?? This is not the first time he's done this and when he is here all week and most of the weekends he spends all of his time with me...no he's not married.

I knew someone had raped my mother, I just did not know who. [My mother is in jail now, by the way.] Anyways, my father explained it to me after countless times refusing to let me sleep over at her house, go to her parties, etc. I've told my friend that our parents have "Bad history" and left it at that. She is persistant in knowing what bad history, and I feel cornered. I do not want to tell her- I mean, it's the man who raised her, it's her FATHER...and I just found out he raped my mother. What should I do??

We have been friends for 2 years and dated for 9 months, at first he was around alot and we would spend so much time for him, I fell so deeply in love with him and , I had never felt this way about anyone, but he began to get busy working full time and going to school at night, and I took it personally. I began to push him away to keep from being hurt, and the little time I did get with him I would be upset (my feelings were hurt) and finaly one night i said "maybe you just don't need a girlfriend", and have regreted it ever since. I want him back but I don't know how, I would hate to lose him forever. He agreed to have lunch with me but I'm nervous, I want him back so bad but I don't know how...Any advice would be helpful

I have a little brother age 6. I'm thirteen. And for a six year old, my brother is spoiled rotten! But that's not the problem. The problem is, his room looks like it exploded! Okay this is sort of complicated but I will do my best. I have had a major crush on my best friend's brother since this past summer. I never really noticed him much before. But he is 2 years older than me (i'm a freshman and hes a junior in high school) and I am unsure of how he feels. To be honest, I think I have sensed that he likes me, but I can't be sure. I catch him looking at me, and at school when i pass him, I see him glance at me and then look away really fast when i catch him. There have been other things too. Hes really shy but sometimes when my friend and I are in her kitchen talking, he'll hang around with us too. And my friend had mentioned that she was joking around with him about how he should ask me to prom, and he actually considered it. He doesnt have a girlfriend and there are no other girls that he likes that I know of. And since I am always around his house, and I am sooooo in love with him.. can anyone give me some advice??? please & thankks

We are going to be having a baby in about 4 months and i feel like our relationship isnt very good. This is the problem that I see....we both work full-time, I cook meals, clean the house (he helps a little but only when I tell him to and tell him exactly what i want done) i do all the financial work, budget, plan the meals and grocery shop. I feel like I do everything. When ever i try telling him this he gets very upset and says he isjust stupid peice of crap who does nothing! then we get in huge fights and i cant handle it anymore. also he is not romantic at all! i tell him all the time that i would love it if he did something nice for me or gave me a surprise. but he just says he "cant think of anything" he uses that phrase a lot, like what to have for dinner " i cant think of anything" ahhh I am so frustrated please help!
