they will support you in any decision you make, they will be there for you when you need them. I believe you will know if the person is a true friend or not!

in all your life, you won't have many! True friends are really hard to come by, and you may only ever have one or two. Everyone will let you down - even your family will leave you at some stage. It is a sobering thought, but a true one. Most of us are on our own. Friends pop up when we need them if we are lucky; if we are luckier still you may have the opportunity to be a good friend to someone else in need one day. But true friends are RARE

Would that person come and pick you up at 3:00 a.m. if you needed a ride? Would they post bail for you? If you didn't see them for a year would they treat you the same? If you answer yes to these, you have a true friend. If you call someone to bail you and that person out of jail, the one with you is the truest of all friends.

My "true friend" is led by my side currently chewing a bone. She doesn't judge what I am, nor care what I do, I also know that if the circumstances were right she would give her life for me. There is a trust, respect and understanding between us that surpasses human triviality. So yes, my truest friend is my dog who I love more than any human I know.

It takes time and you need to know the person well enough to know whether they will let your secrets slip or if they will stay true. My truer friends are older than me and I know I can confide in them whatever. I also know I am regarded as a true friend and this helps me a lot.

If your friend will drop everything she is doing becase you need to see her that is a true friend. A true friend never bails on you at the last minute. And they are always there for you.

When u can tell them ANYTHING without being judged, u deal with each others' shortcomings and still maintain the relationship, when u can pick up where u left off even after many months/years of not meeting..AND one with whom fights are fogotten, no grudges kept

Because they accept you for who you are regardless of status and you always relax around them and laugh the most. You remain close even if you live miles apart as you have that special bond.
