Okay, I'm 22 and very attractive, live in NYC, I seem to find it easier to date/meet women from online as opposed to in person. Mostly because I have like no friends to go to bars, night clubs, or go out anywhere at all with; even if I go to these places myself, I have a hard time starting a conversation or approaching a girl. None of them even approach me even though I'm not ugly at all. Mind you, I'm am open to one night stands as well as relationships, so when I go to look, I am open to both.
But the online route isn't that easy at all, it has its points because u can read a girl's profile and learn a bit about her before u even talk to her. So I've been trying myspace for a few weeks now. My profile & pics are located here: http://www.myspace.com/handsomeitaliano
I have sent about 45 messages so far + a few friend requests, half of those are already read and the other half still unopened. Out of the read half, about 5-7 girls replied and added me as a friend but they didn't follow up after i wrote back to them, however 2 out of those 5-7 girls I have remained in touch with and am now chatting on AOL AIM. I usually try to write something appropriate, more generalized, and maybe a bit direct and contemporary at the same time, something like this:
"Subject: Hi (INSERT GIRL'S NAME HERE)
Message:
What's up?
I'm Stephen. I really dig your profile and your pics, you're very beautiful ;) I'd love to talk to you, get together perhaps, and see where things lead. My pic is in my profile. I'm 5'8, italian, pretty green eyes, very cute, great smile, clean cut, into acting/screenwriting.
Get back at me ;)"
I know this is silly logic because if you're good looking and you approach a girl in a non-offensive manner, you should be successful right? Well I know I'm not being offensive or stupid, so what am I saying that is causing me to get less replies? Or is it not me but them?
I do know that the two girls I'm talking to from there right now loved what I wrote, one of them even said that she immediately liked me after she read it.
Please I'd really appreciate some serious replies, I know a lot of people like to joke around here a lot and you guys are funny at times, but I'm just looking for some insightful advice right now. Thanks.
