Im a 22 year old Indian and Ive decided to date English women only as the Indian girls Ive come across are way to childish, restricting and have no common sense.
But Im a little shy and I certainly dont want to be rude and offensive in my new belief.
Can a mixed race relationship work?
Any comments and suggestions welcome from anyone.

I have a good friend living in San Farancisco who is married to an Indian man.
They have a great marriage and are treated well by everyone.

A mixed race relationship can work, but you seem to be stereotyping a race and that is never good. When you find the right person for you it should not matter the color of their skin. You should try to find women who's personalities portray what you want, you should not just assume that all English women are mature and open and that all Indian women are childish and restricted.
My advise would be to act different then you did with the girls you have already dated because what your doing now is attracting the women you don't want.

Personally, I don't see a problem with a mixed-race relationship. But the problem isn't the color of the skin, it's the morals and the way that your families live. The worst thing that can happen to any relationship is finding out that you don't get along with her parents or vice versa. If you're capable of and willing to deal with the problems that very likely will occur, then I say go for it and have fun.

Yes! Anyone can date anyone. However, it has to be a mutual decision. Don't be scared. My parents are of different races and they told me that you can't help who you fall in love with. They also taught me that people are people and there will be those who like you and those that dislike you, no matter what their race or yours. Just relax. If she likes you back, then great! If she doesn't, you'll live and move on and have plenty of other crushes. I dated an Indian guy once. It was his mother who didn't want us to be together : (

of course they can work! as long you get along with the person, have things in common, etc. I'm also indian and decided long ago that indian boys were just not for me. The relationships I've been have been good and happy and I'm sure it can be the same for you.

sure any mixed realtionship can work.. its not the type of blood that you have, its the way you make it work that counts, if two people care about each other, their blood line has nothing to do with whethr or not it will work out or not.. go for it.. I am of english decent but I have always been attracted to the Native American men, or their way of life. I think you should do what you feel is best for you..

yes just because she is english and your indian i presume you were born here and your parents india,i lived in bradford for 30 years and seen many of my friend s have mixed race relationships and quite afew got married with each parent giving their blessing.
what do your family think of this?have you had arguments ..
its nearly 2007 and young people should beable to make their own choise in life,you have decided to take make yours,and good on you,if more mixed race families evolve then the better people will under stand their culture...geldi geldi make your move and good luck bro.

you have to put in extra effort to trim and prim your personality and appeal to attract the english girls. Mostly be dashing and I assure you success. If you cannot eradicate shyness than mixed race is not for you.
For inspiration I advise you to see the hindi film 'Lagaan'.
The moral is do whatever you are doing, do it very well and in the presence of english girls and you are sure to attract one or two of them. English girls fall for a strong and dashing personality.

If you are the sort of person who generalises about any group of women being "childish, restricting and having no common sense" then your chances of building a successful relationship are not good.
Race doesn't come into it.
