I posted a while back on my sister being a 43 yr old alcoholic with 4 kids. Christmas is tomorrow and ours is starting off with the usual horrible messy alcohol induced drama! My sisters bf of 8 yrs who is the father of her 3 yr old just left tonight saying he has had enough. It is hard because he is kind of playing both sides of the fence. He sees a glimmer of hope with my sister and then he doesn't want to do what he knows he needs to do and that is to work with us her family on any way possible to get her the professional help she needs. I do not think my sister can stop drinking on her own. My dad is an alcoholic who stopped 4 yrs ago and he is so worried about my sister because he knows HOW bad it can get and my dad is far from a "drama king" if you will.
Last night I was called by my 16 yr old nephew to come over. Things were bad and when I pulled up. My nephew came down and told me his mom slapped him 3 times in the face. He called her a well bad word, however......

Well im 15 and I love my dad, but lately whenever he talks to me I just ignore him or roll my eyes. I hate it, my dad is a bad guy he's really nice and goofy like dads usually are. I try really hard to not get so annoyed by him because theres no need for it. Is it all those teenage hormones?? bcuz if it is.....it REALLY sux! ive always been his little chicken ( weird pet name i dont understand) but now i always just want to tell him to shut up. I love him, how can i stop being such a jerk??

My guy treats me like an absolute princess & always has. We've had sex before, but I've decided its best to wait until we are married, so i'm abstinent now. Especially because of a recent miscarriage, etc. Last night he asked me when will I be ready to have sex again. I love him very much, but I want to wait. He says he misses it. What should I do?

I've known people before who change their personalities drastically for another person; because they're "in love". I've maybe been guilty of it also. We all know someone who does that...and it always turns out horribly wrong. You've also been in a relationship where other people have told you it's wrong...but you don't listen because you're "in love". Now, I know better before I end up in those...your close friends and family always know something's wrong. This time, it's my little sister...she's fallen for a man who's so totally different from how she grew up. He's disrespectful. He's changed how she behaves. He's a personal-trainer who encourages her to take mushrooms daily and has started to tell her when she can and can't talk to her family, etc. Mind control? Anyway, he's menacing before I've even met him. What is there to do in this situation?

My boyfriend and I havent been getting along, we argue a lot lately. Which we never use to do. I had plans since Oct to visit my parents at xmas, and I didnt really want to go for a couple reasons...my boyfriend wasnt sure he wanted a girlfriend because he didnt want to be tied down, he wanted to use my vacation as a break to think and figure out what he wants. And last because i was worried he might not care properly for my dogs.

Dogs he says he does not like. Ones we argue about. I agreed that we needed space & time to think. So Im on vacation. He is barely texting me, which is fine. But I just found out he left my dogs alone since 4pm today and didnt plan to return until the next day. They had no water and he knows they are not suppose to be left alone together, and they were. Plus he could have just asked his brother to watch them, but didnt. He was how I found out, when I asked him to check on them.

Do I have a right to be mad?

Since we met she had a problem of going out of control when she has a drink. She becomes the biggest flirt. Since we moved in 6 months ago, she has become worse. Recently she has been getting her boobs out for the lads and at a hen night for my friend’s fiancé, she was seen kissing at least 4 or 5 guys on the dance floor and snapped at anyone who objected at her behaviour. Of course, in the morning she can’t remember anything. I gave her a lifeline by saying that if both of us give up alcohol then maybe we could work through it. I work away a lot so trust is everything. Last time we went out together, she danced with every man near us because she wants to be the centre of attention. I hate it, but when I go out she gets aggressively jealous if I speak with any other woman even an old friend from school. I have withdrawn from her completely as I decide wither or not to leave. All my friends and family say I could do a whole lot better. But I have strong feelings for her and leaving will kill me. What do you think?

I let my husband to to georgia from texas by himself to pick up his son he and his ex wife have been divorced for years now. I didn't go because she doesn't like me for some reason. I for some reason have this gut feeling he is going to sleep with her. Am i wrong for feeling this way? Also what would be some good tell tale signs that he did cheat? My friend say i will know if he comes home and is all lovey with me because of the fact he is not very affectionate with me at times. Is this true?

I live out west and I have been communicating via emails and through myspace with a guy who lives on the
east coast. We both have mutual friends here in the west, but we have never met personally.
Anyway, we have been flirty in our messages to one another. Not sexual, just flirty.

Then the other day I ran into one of our mutual acquaintances and she told me he was in a relationship (had a girlfriend).
Well, he just sent me another message saying he was coming out west to my city in February, and wanted to know what the weather was like here in February.
Now, I know he could easily ask one of his other friends who live out here what the weather is like.

Here’s the question!
Do you think he was trying to see what I would say when I found out he was coming to my city??
Was he trying to line up a "hook up" while away from his girlfriend?
Or.....is he just curious about the weather?

Opinions, please

So i've been liking this guy for a really long time, but my best friend sent my convos on AIM about hooking up with him. SHe knows i like him, and this isn't the first time its happened to me, not just with this friend.. but ALL my friends. I always tell them its fine when ever they ask if its ok if they 'hook up' with the guy i like. im always ilke, whatever, no worries, im not mad, im fine!! BUT the truth is... it kinda hurts. i feel like im being walked on all the time. People say " oh youre the best friend i could ever have!" but why do i feel so horrible if im being such a good friend?
does anyone else have these problems? if not its fine.. i just hope im not alone!

Don't tell me to be honest with them or your self , you only hurt them .

Well, there's this girl I met last week at this party. She's a friend of my ex-roommate. My roommate had a party at the house because my roommate was moving far away. I talked this girl for a while. I'm getting interested in her. She came to the house for a little while each day after that. She was visiting my roommate each time, but I would talk to her for a few minutes each time. I think she's interested in me.

On the day when my roommate was leaving, that girl came by again. She came to say goodbye to my roommate. I figured this is my last chance to ask her out. Right before she left, I asked her if she wanted to hang out after the holidays. She asked me for my phone number and I saw her put it in her phone, but she didn't give me hers. She said I'll get the number when she calls me.

What does this mean? Is she serious about hanging out with me or what?

I Say: hehe hmm i dont know...im not too
