First of all if he's your son...
Jeeze dude. I'd be pissed at you. Even if you haven't been around other kids at all...you should still feel that prang in your heart to treat him like he's precious to you. It's your son.

Second, you wait until he's either totally asleep or almost asleep and carefully move him. He's a kid-it's not like he can fend for himself...it's not like he's an 18 year old guy that passed out in your lap..he's a kid that trusts you and loves you cause you're his parent.

And lastly...Don't get pissed off that your ex...also your child's mother...is being protective. She probably saw it as a double "oh-no." You being his father and pushing him away...and you being harsh to her son. "Oh no"...She's probably already mad at you...you being her ex and all...so don't make it any harder than it has to be...on you, the child, or the mother.

in basic terms interpreting those solutions are going to furnish me a nightmare thinking of if those musicians formed a band. Worst Vocalist: Chad Kroeger Worst Drummer: Meg White (however I do in basic terms like the White Stripes) Worst Bassist: Nikki Sixx Worst Guitarist: Herman Lee

Without seeing exactly shat you did it is hard to judge if it was bad or not but I can tell you this: You should always be gentle, even overly gentle, with children. The fact that you said he is a tough little guy he can take it tells me that you do not understand that children are very delicate even if they do not seem to be.
I feel that you probably were too rough with him and yes, that is very bad.

Did it ever occur to you to just pick him up and move him??? He's two how heavy could the kid be???

All I have to say is that... Ya wont be winning any parent of the year awards! But maybe you should look into parenting classes... If you dont want to do that, then look into not being a parent!

common now hes a baby you should have been gentle, a parent is supposed to make sure their child never goes thru the bad things we went thru even if someone has pushed your head of their lap it doesnt make it right. Explain to her that you are still learning to be a dad, she should give you some time BUT please be gentle 2 year olds are fragile

man if a kid is starting to put your leg to sleep get up and put the poor thing to bed, being a parent meens sacrifice and the first one is sleep, if you believe pushing a kid to the ground is fair play then let me tell you its not, its assault. you better get some help now!! cause if you think that behaviour is acceptable whats next, a closed fist punch to the nose for wetting the bed, wake up to yourself

Dropping a baby is totally uncool. It could have hurt him. What's wrong with it is that you showed lack of concern for the baby. You should have picked him up gently and put him to bed.

why would you push him off why dont gently carry him to his bed or put him next to you on the couch...of course she has a right to be mad you don't treat a child or anyone for that matter like that...and I don't think you have to be good at parenting to know that it's common sense.

You're leaving details out. Did the little guy fall far? Onto the sofa you were sitting on? Or onto the floor?

in a way i think that is bad.....you dont go around pushing kids off your lap like that.....if someone did it to you it doesnt give you the right to do it to a little kid, especially a 2 yr old... thats bad news right there!! its like if someone is tryin to hurt you... your not going to ler them hurt your kid instead your going to protect your kid..........
