My husband used to spank me during sex. I told him to stop. It made me feel uncomfortable. Do some men do this to feel that they are in control? Is he a sadist? Does he feel pleasure while doing it? That kind of act is not welcome in my life. I am glad he stopped at once and forever.

I'm in high school. I am also religious, yet intelligent. I wouldn't mind dating, but I have fairly traditional views on the matter: No premarital sex, and no contraceptives. I am fairly conservative , which is a huge problem because the area I live in is extremely liberal and atheist. I also don't know how to approach the issue. My beliefs are my life, and the only other thing I talk about really are movies/video games on rare occasions and academia (like math, books, etc).
I don't want to date anyone just for fun, but I'm worried that my political convictions will ruin the future, as my religion and opinions will come into play with marriage. So I am only looking for serious relationships, but is there a chance for one? It seems like my girlfriend would clash with me, and that would be a problem.
The other thing is sense of humor: I'm fairly serious but sarcastic. Dating would be serious for me, but that's not today mentality of the young gen. What can I do/do I have a chance?

I can name a million times where at work I can walk into a conversion about me, nothing bad, but it's always about them being with me and what they would do if I was with them, & SEX (CRAZY STUFF).

I simply act as I don't hear it, but why can't these women confront me if there interested, geez what's the deal, why can't YOU CAN'T YOU JUST TELL ME lol.

It has been over a month and I am still not over my break-up with my ex gf. The last time we spoke, she said that I should have no contact with her, whether if its via email, phone call, text message and even looking for her. She added that she is seeing someone and that we are totally over. I still hope to be friends at least. What is your best advice for me? I know I probably should not so anything now, but should I contact her later? So lost...

At first sight, what do you look for in a girl? What do you look at first? Personality-wise, what do you generally like? What DON'T you like? More specific answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

My last relationship only lasted a week because he sensed that I was scared to be in a relationship (at the time). Even after it ended, we both still had feelings for each other but I'm not sure whether he realized that. Last month, one night it was very obvious he wanted to get back with me by trying to make a move. Since then, I haven't shown any hints that I wanted to get back with him. Yesterday there had been a party we were both invited to. We talked, as usual, but towards the end of the party as he was about to leave, he got up from his seat next to me and hugged one other girl from another school he had shown up with and told her, "I'll talk to you later like online or something." Of course, this got me jealous and start over-analysing. Am I just overreacting? How can I have more confidence in myself to show him that I do want to give each other another shot at it? I'm afraid of losing the chance to get back with him just because I don't have the guts to show my feelings.

At the beginning of the year I met a guy through a dating websie and in may I met him in person.
We got engaged in August and we chose a ring and decided to pay it off (I only work 2 days a week and he only works casual too so we don't have money). I called the jeweler a few weeks after we chose it and found out that he had cancelled the purchase, then his mum called me and told me things were happening too fast and he wanted to call off the engagement.
I spoke to him and we are now secretly engaged and planning on telling our parents next year.
The thing is he has called off the engagement 3 times so far and I'm scared he is gonna leave me so I am going to try for a baby so he stays.
My friend thinks thos is wrong of me but I don't agree.
I'mm 33 and he'd 36

My girlfriend and I are having a trip around Christmas times, one of these nights, we'll be getting a hotel room in a nice little tourist town.
I was wondering how can I make her feel really special that night? crafting a really romantic atmosphere.

for example, flower petals on bed, champagne, chocolates, things like that? of course there's a budget to all this too.

original/cheesy ideas all welcomed!
thanks!

Okay, what would your intake on this be.

Say you still like this girl that you broke up with cause you guys hadn't talked for awhile, she calls you and you won't pick up because you still have feelings for her.

I'm having this problem with my ex, what should I do, or if you were a guy in this situation, what is your purpose for doing it?

What kind of age gap, at the absolute biggest, do you think is acceptable? Do you know of anyone in a relationship with an age gap?

Specifically, do you think a gap of 12 years could ever work out?

I think I am going insane. Can't stop thinking about my husband who left me 3 months ago to live on his own. I caught him cheating but he said he left because he needed time to be on his own. He had been phoning every night and coming over every weekend but wouldn't commit to the marriage, he wanted to have an open relationship with me, I think. Anyway, it was a comfort to have his come over, now I have blown it because I have been saying to him that perhaps he should stop coming over if he doesn't know what he wants because he is confusing me etc. I am finding it difficult without him as we were married for 19 years and he was my everything.I have phoned him twice this evening and he has his phone switched off so I am thinking that he is up to no good. I know that its nothing to do with me what he does, but he had been giving me hope one day and then the next taking it away, I thought perhaps he was too proud to want to come back, but it looks like he means to stay away for good.
