Ok, I was invited to a shower for my husband's cousin on the 30th of this month. I told them I would go, but then today I recieved an invitation in the mail for another shower on the same day. The big thing is, I'm a bridesmaid in the wedding of the later-recieved one. What should I do? They are both at the same time in the afternoon. Also, do I buy a present for the cousin-in-law if I don't attend her shower? I'd rather go to my good friend's shower, than my husband's cousin, but I don't want to be rude.

I am 16 I will be a junior in high school this year. I have some relationship exp. but nothing very serious. However I really like one of my closest friends and have for a couple of months now the only reason i havn't told her how i felt or asked her out is because one of my other friends has liked her for a long time. Now she does not like him but he is the kind of person who if I ask her out and she says yes will hate me for the rest of his life. I am better friends with the girl than i am with the guy dont know if that changes aneything but thought i shuld put that out there.What should I do?

my current boyfriend of 8 months still talks to an ex girlfriend on almost a daily basis. except, when we are together. he never accepts her calls when I am with him. he will just put his cell to voice mail. I have expressed concern about their situation before. he says they are friends. but he was living with her up until 1 month before we started dating. I asked him if she knew about me, and his response was " well i am sure she has a clue, i mean i am never available anymore." that was upsetting to me because I feel like he doesn't want to talk to her about it, or is hiding something. also when he has social parties at home, or if we go to his friends homes for card parties, she never shows up. is this normal behavior? it is hard for me to deal with, and I am not sure how to bring it up again without seeming over jealous. please help.

He has depression and is mad at me for not understanding even though I have stood by him, tolerated his moods, and taken him back three times now after he's left hoping to find happiness somewhere else. Theres this guy who's been going out with this girl for two months. he says he's liked her for two years. But at first she was goin out with someone but when the relationship got rocky he interfered. I just met him a few weeks ago we haven't hung out much but I really like him. We always end up flirting a lot, but he does it to a certain level,because I think he feels guilty like he's cheating on his gf. my past with my mother was really bad and i know she doesn't really love me that much and she is about 25% mentally ill and 75% of the time she bullshits a lot now i moved far away from her and havn't talked to her in a year. Now she pretends everything is normal, but she just doesn't understand how the way we lived was abnormal. I mean, my guy friends tell me that it's women who are hard to understand. Some women write books and attend therapy to "get" (understand) men. People make a living trying to figure out a males brain. I even glace at articles where the male character and habits are dissected - IN TEEN MAGAZINES! Is it true that men are just simple creatures and completely "Un-cyrptic"? Is it dumb to ask 'what does a guy mean when.........' when they just say what they mean?
