There's no reason to hold out on a date unless the other person wants to. Dating isn't exactly the most efficient way to decide how to get married (unless you date EVERYBODY!), so I'd do whatever the moment called for. Unless you're really relgious (I'm not), I wouldn't worry about being a "slut" or whatever; I don't even know what value that word has! I certainly don't think any less of women who want to sleep with me, regardless of weather or not they ever want to see my face again! There's all these rules apparantly about daing, I don't understand a single one of them. Not everybody's the same, not every situation involving two or more people is gonna turn out the same. Honesty is always my goal, I hate it when I feel like I have to lie. Life itself is meaningless if you go by a bunch of rules that don't make any sense!

on a first date i wouldn't go far at all, i don't even think i would kiss somebody on the first date unless i been knowing them, and feel real comfortable about the situation. But i would give a simple smile, touching of the hands, and maybe a little touching inappropriately

lol...I say 1-4. But on the 2nd or 3rd date and we have been together for a long time or even we have been friends b4 we date I say all thee above. Not shy...just would...depends...
