I am 16 I will be a junior in high school this year. I have some relationship exp. but nothing very serious. However I really like one of my closest friends and have for a couple of months now the only reason i havn't told her how i felt or asked her out is because one of my other friends has liked her for a long time. Now she does not like him but he is the kind of person who if I ask her out and she says yes will hate me for the rest of his life. I am better friends with the girl than i am with the guy dont know if that changes aneything but thought i shuld put that out there. What should I do?

If two people see a penny on the ground but niether picks it up for fear of hurting the other persons feelings ,,, nither benifits one cent.
If he's not offering - it's his loss & his fault. Go for her.

I'd say let the guy know you like the girl, or try and get his attention directed to a new girl, . . . helpful nudges like, . . . its obvious she doesnt like you why not look around theres lots of fish in the sea. Maybe he'll find a new object of affection and forget about this girl. Otherwise if thats not happening ask him about it. Be totally honest and say i came to you first because if you dont want me to act on it i wanna know, but i'd really like to give it a shot. If he understands he'll be okay with it, if he gets upset and hates you.....well he wasnt all that much of a friend. Goodluck.

If this other friend (male) is less of a friend that the girl I wouldn't worry about it. Besides if he has tried and failed with her and any kind of a friend he should understand and get out of the way.

Ask your friend if he would realy hate you for going out with a girl who turned him down AND if he does then he's not a true friend who wants you to be happy^___^

go for it dude. I mean, think about it. If she doesn't like him [hopefully he knows that] then what's the point...them two wont get together [most likely] and if he's less of a friend to you, then dont worry much...go for it. you many not get that chance again.

Ask her out if you like her. You'll never see this guy again after you leave high school

Whatever makes you the most happy. If this guy was your friend, he'd want you to be happy too.
