Maybe guys can help me understand the male psyche, please! After a few weeks of flirting, lots of interest, compliments and chit-chat in the office, cute guy asks me to go for a drink. When I say yes and email him my availability (which he asks me to do), he doesn't respond for almost a week, then when he does (at my prompting), says he can't do the days suggested, asks for other dates and then ignores the email. In the office, he goes cold, blanks me and resorts to the odd 'hello how are you?'. At the staff party he makes a beeline for me, says he'll get me a drink, which he doesn't, then ignores me for the rest of the night, although he doesn't stop looking over. At one point, we end up standing next to each other, he puts down his glass of wine, mutters something and walks off! Now, if he changed his mind, fine, but this behaviour is at best bizarre, at worst rude!! Any ideas, please?!

I have my own appartment, a 5yr. old son and I help my mother take care of my neice. I've been married and divorced already and I'm moving towards my goal within my career rapidly. He's turning 33 this week and never been on his own. He said there was never a reason for him to leave. He said his goal was to be out by 19, 25, and so on. Now he's trying to be stable in his occupation and next he wants a car, then he'll move out. That seems like a long time because I believe he should have had it done already. He is soo sensitive and understanding and patient. On the other hand, I'm want things right away, but I'm willing to give it time, give him time to achieve some goals. We have been together(dating) for almost a year, will it last?

u know, it hurts to love someone but not to be loved in return. but what's most painful is to love someone & never finding the courage to let the person know how u feel.

I think its becasue when people go out dating they are not themselves because they are constanly trying to impress their dates. So when they get married they finally act like themselves and are dissatisfied with how their lover really is. What do you think?

Yesterday me and my b/f got into a huge fight. When I called him yesterday he did not pick up his phone. He called me awhile later and said his cousin was on the phone, so I tell him that I am not coming over after all. He then starts yelling at me in front of all his cousins (like 25 of them). Anyways, basically he hangs up after saying that when I'm ready to talk I can call him. Should I call him? Am I overreacting? If I should call him, how long should I wait? Please help. Thanks!

Why? I don't like having my birthdays. I know it is independence day and all with fireworks but for some reason I always hate having birthdays. Anyone feel the same on their birthday?

Can someone please tell me why people waste their time deceiving, lying, and cheating when they could just break up with their significant other and try to find someone that they don’t have to deceive, lie to, or cheat on? It seems so easy to do, yet lots of people still choose to cheat. I just don’t get it. Wouldn’t it be easier to just dump the person that you feel you have to cheat on and find someone that satisfies you fully. ( By the way, I'm talking about boyfriend/girlfriend relationships)

I have been in abusive marriages in the past. My boyfriend was also abused by his ex. We're both afraid of repeating past mistakes. We are quite committed to making this relationship work, but every once in awhile he or I will do or say things that causes "red flags" to go up. These are just knee-jerk reactions to past relationship behaviors. We love each other & care about one another deeply, but we're still a bit gun-shy when it comes to making a legal commitment. Still, it would be nice for us to take that step, eventually. How can we get over the past & learn to trust that this is not like any other relationship & that we're going to be OK?

If this means I should now never let my baby boy be alone with him. He has never done anything to show he would molest a child, but the computer stuff seems pretty over the line to me... problem is my mom watches my boy while my girlfriend works and one of us woudl have to quit a job to stya home (can't afford daycare)...

My mom decided to stay with the stepdad, he promised to never do anything like that again and she promised me she would never leave the baby alone with him anyway -- but can I trust them? Is what he did so terrible that I cannot risk this nomatter what my girlfriend and I have to do to have her stay home to watch the baby? thank yo uand god bless for your input

I'm a recent divorcee, and I've got the house to myself now. No kids, no passive-aggressive woman storming around. Less mess, more sleep, more time to organize things. I miss them terribly sometimes, though.
I've told couple of people about enjoying these benefits, and they said there's a fine line between peace and loneliness. I see some truth to that statement, but not a lot.
What do you think?
