Why? I don't like having my birthdays. I know it is independence day and all with fireworks but for some reason I always hate having birthdays. Anyone feel the same on their birthday?

Yes, I hate it. Either someone important to me forgets my birthday and that hurts me, or someone, like a coworker, remembers and makes a big deal over it and embarrasses me.
I hate getting older, it reminds me of all i've missed out on and all I am missing out on. On a holiday it's harder.......everyone is happy and celebrating and your day doesnt feel so special to you, it's like your sharing it. You'd like to forget it's your birthday, but your reminded by everyone celebrating the holiday so you cant forget.
i dont know why you dont like it, but do your best to try to get through it. It's just one day and you can do it.
good luck.

it is definiteley the whole having a birthday around the holiday syndrome..

anyone and everyone I know that has a birthday on a holiday or on the 4th .. they absoluteley hate it.. you have to share YOUR DAY with someone else.. or something else...

by the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY.. and yes I bet my life that you don't like fireworks.. anyone who has a birthday on the 4th.. for some reason doesn't like fireworks.. it's just some wierd oocurance..

I feel ya on this though.. my birthday is july 1st, and I always celebrate it on the 4th.. so sometimes I get fireworks as presents... which is shitty sometimes....

you shouldn't see it as ..another year another firework.. take the day and make it something else.. don't always do the routine.. because it's the 4th and you know the dreadful moment of having everyone around.. and not being sure if they are there because it's your birthday.. or if it is because it's the 4th.. change it up a little make it something MORE than it already is...

just don't sit and sulk hoping some lightening bolt would just hit ya and make you disappear on YOUR DAY

How about if I switch birthdays with you. Mine is on Christmas Eve. One year I got the front wheel of a bike on my birthday, and the rest of it for Christmas.
At least with your's, you can have a bang up time of celebrating your birthday.

Hey! It's my birthday too! That's awesome!

Yeah, I'm funny about birthdays too. Not just cause I'm getting older...I've always been funny about them. I get really depressed and feel like I'm being "fake happy" when I open my gifts. No clue why!

nicely then make your guy or woman plans. refer to a pair of your friends tell them you're able to desire to have a small celebration-at a park or on the mall-if the mall is quarter-hour away-walk, take a bus, journey your motorbike, have a friends mum and dad take you. Ask each and each of them to convey something- a clutter of soda, chips, cupcakes. Or ask that each and each of them pitches in a sprint to pay on your stay overall performance fee ticket or a action picture fee ticket as a replace. i'm sorry that your mum and dad seem to no longer care-yet which ability you will ought to take concerns into your guy or woman palms. happy Birthday besides you additionally could make it artwork.

Having birthdays mean that you are alive and well. You made it through one more year. Many people do not make it to their next birthday because they died. So just be grateful you are alive and talking to us and we to you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!

Use it as an excuse to treat yourself to something, like taking an extra vacation day from work, or having a party, or going to a restaurant with a friend. You wouldn't have to tell anyone it's your bday, just do it! :)

You don't have to be sad just because it's your birthday. Just think, if you weren't having another birthday, you would be dead.

You can always choose not to celebrate your birthday, or you can choose to celebrate it some other time of the year.
