i am a foreign student in the usa for four years, and those years have been the most boring of my life as far as socializing is concerned. i'm a guy who like to have some crazy fun and enjoy my time sometime carelessly. i used to have my crew of friends but they all stayed back home, now here i am with my family but i feel like i'm missing a lot of fun being alone. i've tried to make friends with some acquaintances but it didn't seem to work out. i am not desperate but i'd like to bring some salsa to my life now. i'm 22 and even though my professional and educational lives are going on the right track, i'm just lonely.
can anyone help me get back to the light of fun, and if anyone is interested in corresponding, i am also up for it.
thank you for your interests and advices.

I have a friend who just became a stay-at-home dad in the Princeton, MN area and I think he'll quickly get bored. He doesn't have a lot of money, he is staying home because he got laid off. If you have any suggestions of things to do that would be great. He has girls ages 10 and under. Thanks!

My ex and I are recently divorced, but every time I see one of our friends or his relatives they insist on telling me what they saw him doing. How can I get them to stop doing this? I have told them repeatedly that I don't care what he's doing and I don't want to hear it. We are divorced and I have no control over him or what he does. Ironically I know more about what me ex is doing now than when we were married. Why weren't these people so anxious to tell me that he was lying too me and cheating on me?

Whenever some is beautiful, you guys get bitchy and defensive. Have you ever considered the fact that beautiful people can be nice too?Why are you guys so mean to them? You guys are really judgemental, stop and talk to them, get to know them before you label the things like "stupid", "stuck-up", "cocky", "whore", "slut"... Seriously, if there is anyone here who needs to get a grip it's you guys who think like this. Whose the mean one here? Learn to judge people with their character not beauty. You guys make me mad. Why is it wrong to think of yourself as beautiful?

I have researched my family tree and know that they came from several villages in Somerset but having visited cannot find a single tomb with their names on.

How soon is too soon to bring up the "we should both stop dating other people" conversation???? Don't want to scare him off but want to see where it can go. Or should I wait till he brings it up???

My wife came home yesterday (yes, on Fathers Day) and told me that she doesn't love me anymore and wants a divorce. Basically there is too much water under the bridge and she can't get past it. I want to keep trying, get counseling, something...but she just wants me to let her go.

We have 2 children, so this is a very painful loss for me. Has anyone been through this? How can I cope with this pain?

She just turned twenty- one . . Seems(maybe i'm delusional) to want to fool around if not date ( or vice versa). Nice.... maybe for my ego but ... I havent been dating so that in of itself makes relations w/ her more interesting that perhaps otherwise... but the age difference suggests anythng would be brief....

My brother is getting married, and the bride only has one sister who is grown. It's just that she doesn't like the idea of maid-of-honor, she would rather prefer a bunch of bridesmaids and flowergirls so that they will all have partners at the wedding.

Well, our niece is only two years old. They say she can be a flowergirl because she is behaved and would probably be too shy to fool aroung at the wedding. But others say she's too young to be one. Is she?

If a man is in his mid 50's, divorced for many years and children are grown, and has a good job and makes above average money, why would he choose to live in a one bedroom apartment rather than buy a small house? If he is a perpetual playboy I can understand this but for the men that say they are looking for someone to spend their life with, it just makes sense that a guy would invest in a home to share with his future wife, rather than pay rent, especially at his age. Is he cheap, not making as much as he says, or not really interested in sharing a home with someone.?
