My brother is getting married, and the bride only has one sister who is grown. It's just that she doesn't like the idea of maid-of-honor, she would rather prefer a bunch of bridesmaids and flowergirls so that they will all have partners at the wedding.

Well, our niece is only two years old. They say she can be a flowergirl because she is behaved and would probably be too shy to fool aroung at the wedding. But others say she's too young to be one. Is she?

If she is two, someone will probably have to walk beside her, especially if she is shy. Perhaps you guys can choose an older child in the family (a boy to be the ring bearer) to walk holding her hand to the altar. Good luck!

Ages of flower girls always depend on the child itself. If she's well behaved than it should be fine. The problem with shy is that she might be too scared to walk down the aisle so she definitely should not be walking alone, especially if it is a long aisle.

If she can make it down the aisle with the basket that's fine. She may be a little young to stay up there for the whole ceremony. You might have her process and then go sit with someone till its time for the recessional. Our ring bearer was only three and went and sat with his dad after his job was done.

You didn't say how old you were. At one wedding, one of the older kids was the guest book holder. A table was set up where she could sit and make sure people signed the book and handed out programs in the church foyer.

You could also light a candle or distribute the birdseed or bubbles to everyone to throw or blow at the couple.

My daughter was a flower girl at 2 at my m-i-l wedding. She walked down the aisle and then went and sat by me. It worked out great.

she should be ok
put something of hers at the end of the aisle...like a toy or doll. then tell her to walk to get it. she'll make it down the aisle for sure then and she'll have something to keep her occupied with while the ceremony is taking place!

You can hold her hand ask she walks (toddles) down the aisle. Or you can have someone wheel her down in a wagon- super cute.
Good Luck!
