Like at Meijer or Mcdonalds, BK, Wendy's, etc? Would you pay a little more if they used earth friendly materials like: Biobags, biodegradable containers, cups, etc. ? Also I emailed/wrote letters to some places to tell them to use eco-friendly stuff:

McDonalds
Burger King
Wendy's
Meijer
D&W
Family Fare

Come on people lets have a bunch of people email/write/call all these places especialty big places that use a lot of non earth friendly stuff, and tell them that we want them to use eco-friendly stuff. Just how far are you willing to go for your new fad “going green” Are you willing to send the US economy into a depression as in the 20’s with millions out of work, and in food lines? Are you ready to sacrifice your computer, you home’s a/c system, your automobile? Are you ready to pay 10, 20, even 30% more for food due to limited shipments as well as accepting far fewer varieties of fruits and Vegs, for the sake of not using trucks to haul these items across country? Are you willing to do without items made from oil, including all products made of plastic, items like you computer, your water bottles, your ipod, your blackberry, your TV, your kitchen appliances, your cell phone. Let’s not be hypocritical, CA and Fl “roll back greenhouse emissions to the level of 2000” whoop de do, If it was destroying the world in 2000 what good is that? If you think that our behavior is destroying the world, what are you willing to give up.

I'm supervising a "land steward" day this morning, and we have a core group of volunteers who come every month and devote 3 hours of their day to help remove invasive plants and other tasks. Others drop in occasionally, mostly to do community service.

How do you fit into the picture? Do you know of places in your neck of the woods where you can -- or do -- volunteer?

What do you think is the most important environmental problem that affects coastal environment and their watersheds? Why? How would you solve the problem?

This is not a question for school or anything. Just my own thoughts.

My answer to this question would have to be about the littering that goes into the ocean. As the tide washes ashore, I feel that more and more garbage comes with it. Last week, I managed to find some underwear that washed ashore and I was thoroughly disgusted!

My mum once told me that she was shopping in a department store with me, when she noticed that I had left her side. As she was looking around the store for me, she saw a crowd of people standing around laughing. As she got nearer, she noticed me sitting in the middle of the indoor pond playing with the goldfish. She had to buy me new clothes from underwear to shoes. Bet she was none to pleased!!!

One reason for asking is that I want to etch my driveway with acid to clean it, but I don't want the runoff to contaminate the neighborhood's retention ponds. I'm hoping that the runoff goes into the sewer and not into the ponds.

I was looking in a magazin and on the cover was another magazin that said something about 2012 the Mayan code will end and that will be the year of destiny and there will be exciting events and a huge global change or global climate change. On some channel they was just showing the Earth in 2050 and the ground was brown (I didn't see ALL of it because I turned because I didn't wanna worry about that) and in say something about startings of fires or something like that forget, but they said something about fires. In school a teacher said something about on Sepember 11th something bad is going to happen to the USA and in another magazin I saw on the cover "The world will end 9/11/07." What's all this about?? They didn't worry about it last year.

P.S.: What are Mayans if there people what was they like??

Plastic Bag usage is a big issue. Do you want to take action or let the Government charge lots more taxes as the Irish Government does? The only real way to do prevent more taxes and charges is to use hemp or cotton bags, use canvas rucksacks, shopping trolleys or not to use bags at all.
