I really don't mean to dip into gossip since I can't stand it. But it was pretty obvious that Amy Lee of Evanescence was referring to Seether's Shaun Morgan in the song "Call Me When You're Sober." Now Seether has a new song out called "Fake It" and I wondered if it might be directed at Amy Lee. The single even features a painting of a little pale doll with black hair. I think early metal groups like Black Sabbath and Judas Priest were very melody-orientated. Nowadays the tune has been lost, and it's all about thrashing big chords. Anyone recommend any accessible, melodically orientated metal like the two I have just mentioned? thanks.

Anyone have some good song recommendations and maybe even some artist recommendations? I've heard of many rock 'n' roll artists from the 50's, but I've only listened to Chuck Berry and Elvis. I want to delve in, but I have no clue where to begin.

Please, no artists from decades after the 50's. I already got enough of those and searching for new bands is easier in other decades. Songs can be from other decades as long as the artist was part of the original rock 'n' roll scene.
