DAVID GILMOUR IS GOD. No one can even hold a torch to david impecable soloing and emotion. I have never been disappointed with davids guitar work. I saw him in Munich a year or so ago and it was just incredible! It was the best high anyone could get without any kind of drug imaginable to man.

as for "kevil the devil" he did NOT write NO songs on The Wall:

He co-wrote Young Lust (Waters/Gilmour), Run Like Hell (Waters/Gilmour), and Comfortably Numb (Waters/Gilmour).

I may agree with kevil about Waters, who is my personal favourite, but Gilmour deserves to at least take over the band once Waters left in the first place in the mid 80s (whats Roger gonna do with a band that still retains two of the four original members when hes not even in it)

but not to get too sidetracked...

all praise the mighty guitar lord....david gilmour (hey, it kinda rhymes...half credit for me!)

some recommended songs that truly showcase Gilmour's voice and/or guitar work (if you havent heard them already which im sure you must have...itd be insane not to):

Fearless - Meddle
Fat Old Sun - Atom Heart Mother
Pigs (Three Different Ones) - Animals
Dogs - Animals
Coming Back To Life - Momentary Lapse Of Reason
High Hopes - The Division Bell

just to name a few

Well seeing as how both Dark Side of the Moon and Another Brick in the Wall were largely written by him I would say that he is so incredible that if you took something fairly incredible and put it up next to David Gilmour it would like like something that isn't very incredible at all. Don't forget the guitar in Shine on you Crazy Diamond, that gives me chills it's so awesome.

Very incredible!

One of my favourite moments is listening to the way the lead guitar and bass 'fight' on 'Money' {just after the sax solo}.

Totally awesome. It will be a long time before a band today will be able to compare to Pink Floyd.

He's one of the most melodic and versatile guitarists in rock music. I think he has a great singing voice too. "Comfortably Numb" really showcases both his singing and his playing.

Excellent guitarist that shows it isn't all about speed and how loud you play (and I'm a classic metal fan). His vocals are distinct and understandable. However, most notable is that he wrote many of the songs and most of them have meaning.

I wouldn't use the word incredible...I'd use the word inconceivable...but then again, that word may not mean what I think it means.
