...surrounding "1234" by Feist? I've seen like 25 questions asking about who sings this song just in the past 2 days. Personally, I don't think there's anything extraordinary about the song, in fact... I'm leaning more towards the word "boring".
What do you think?

I agree with you 100%. It's a mystery to me why that song has gotten the love it has. Feist is actually not a bad performer. The first song I heard off the album, My Moon My Man was several times better. She also did backing vocals for Peaches at one time. So how she drifted off into such lame territory is inexplicable because 1234 sucks. Boring might be too kind. Yet she struck gold since those stupid cell phone commercials picked up the song.

It's on a couple ads and a TV show. Figures that a trash single like that would be exciting, yet a concept album is almost a dinosaur in scope.

I'd like to hear any fly-by-night band like Feist come up with an Operation: Mindcrime, The Wall, or even a Pink World.

hype is doctored attention by the money-holders. music listeners are puppets, in many ways....especially the younger ones who spend their time here.

i agree. i really don't like that song, but i don't hate it either. its just another one hit indie artist from vh1.
