I really don't mean to dip into gossip since I can't stand it. But it was pretty obvious that Amy Lee of Evanescence was referring to Seether's Shaun Morgan in the song "Call Me When You're Sober." Now Seether has a new song out called "Fake It" and I wondered if it might be directed at Amy Lee. The single even features a painting of a little pale doll with black hair. Here's the lyrics, you be the judge...

FAKE IT
Whose to know if your soul will fade at all
The one you sold to fool the world
You lose your self-esteem along the way
Good God, you're coming up with reasons
Good God, you're dragging it out
Good God, it's the changing of the seasons
It feels so great so follow me down
Fake it if you're out of direction
Fake it if you don't belong
Fake it if you feel like infection
Whoa, you're such a f*cking hypocrite

It wouldn't surprise me in the least. In fact, there is no other plausible interpretation. Seems like both of these marginal acts are more concerned with airing their dirty laundry as opposed to concentrating on making good music. I used to say that I couldn't recall any female emo artists. That was until Amy Lee came out with her whiny wah wah song Call Me When Your Sober. It's like I tell my mom; "Don't blame me, you married him." It would be far more entertaining if these two could arrange a celebrity death match on PPV. I must admit that the "little pale doll" is very funny.

I'd say so

Shaun Morgan was pretty upset at Amy Lee for 'Call Me When Your Sober' so this is probably his retaliation for that.
