I clip my nails as far as I can without drawing blood. But they're still at the tip of my finger. This makes it extremely difficult to play chords. Either because I can't press a string down without my nail hitting the fret board, or because I end up muting the next string over.

I just started playing guitar a week ago, so I know that nothing is supposed to come easy at first. But this seems more like a physical limitation than a learning curve.

Am I just not meant for guitar? I'd be crushed if I ever had to give it up.

I get really into my music.. maybe a little bit too into it, and I set a couple of my favorite songs as my cell phone's ring tones and as a result, I have a problem actually answering the call.

This is kind of a goofy question, but do any of you find yourself ignoring your incoming calls to listen to your ringtone instead??

For once i wish The Rolling Stones could prevail in this kind of poll. They deserve it, for one simple reason: real music is LIVE music. And playing live on stage Rolling Stones were by far better than Beatles (that overall were a great band). And after 45 years of career they still are "the greaetest rock'n'roll band of the world"!

I'am looking for a sort of High energy song for a video. If you know of any songs that are similar to ones like..
Prodigy-Firestarter
Prodigy-Smack my ***** up (aka snap my picture)
Prodigy-Voodoo People
Rammstein
DJ Tiesto- He's a Pirate (I hate techno/trance but that one was an exception. If you know of a high energy song though, thats not repetitive, that would be great)

No songs relating to crazy sex... like "crazy *****" ...or "Get Psycho" I hate those.

need songs!

Now one of my co-workers want me to go to a different one but I just can't stomach it. It's a bunch of strange people dancing around and the singing (rapping) doesn't compare to the CD. Everyone thinks I'm wierd for not liking concerts so what should I say?

Can someone provide a list of "Heavy Metal Breakout" songs such as the song, "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva. Another song with such a beat is also, "Die Motherf***er Die" by Dope. I don't want any emo/screamo type songs. Rammstein provide such songs but I already have their albums and I'm just looking for more songs. Please help me find them.

If I had to pick just one, it have to be either "Paint it Black" or "It's All Over Now." Nice guitar work on those two songs. :)

My opinion: Punk never dies... Only change.... But when I say "Change" I want to refer to groups like bad religion, not to the posers of simple plan or avril lavigne...

1. {(The Number of the Beast × π) + the number of bad pick up lines employed by Gene Simmons} ÷ the number of times Christina Aguilera has had her bottle rubbed the right way.

2. If Courtney Love and Amy Winehouse have a cocaine party on Saturday night starting at 11pm, what times does Scott Stapp show up, and what time does he become even too unbearable for the wasted likes of Love and Winehouse and get tossed out while screaming "BUT I AM A ROCKSTAR!!"

3. (The followinq question is being brought to you by Guiness.)
Guiness: BRILLIANT!
(Yes, that's right, I sold out.)
If × is the number of pints of Guiness Dave Mustaine drank on the Peace Sells tour, and ý is the number of black'n'tans made by Klaus Mein with rich Guiness stout drank during the Moscow Music Peace Festival, then what is ś if ś is equal to (× + ý) ÷ the number of Guiness' any publisher would have to drink to release a Lynne Spears parenting book.

4. See the additional details for more....

I prefer them in the 80's and early 90's...basically up until Achtung Baby..they're still good now but the songs aren't as good now as they were then...what are some of your favorites?
I like Bad, A Day Without Me, A Sort of Homecoming, I Will Follow, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Two Hearts Beat as One, The Electric Co., Party Girl, and the entire Joshua Tree album is excellent...
