For Opera buffs, if you could only attend one opera performance what would you go see? Would it be about a particular opera or composer or is there a particular performer that you would want to hear? Do you think people talk about some prodcers and mc's like they're still putting out 5 star/mics whateva material in 2007 like they did in the 90's just out of respect for what they did do? Take Nas for example his lyrics aren't at the level they were at illmatic but some people still name him as the number 1 mc of all time becuase of the lyrics on illmatic 13 years ago. Same thing with DJ Premier he doesn't make Come Clean's, Supa Star's or Mass Apeal's anymore just listen to Big Shug's Streets move and tell me that's near the quality of Mass Apeal.
I think both of them have the abilty to do that again Nas just needs to focus harder and premo just needs to digg deeper in the crates like he did in the 90's.

I noticed a commercial on VH1 the other day about the 7 eras of rock music. They mentioned them in chronological order but after Alternative/grunge they went with british indie pop. Are you f***in kiddin me? What about the "Nu-metal" or even the sucky Emo trend. Emo was more rock n roll than british indie and thats not saying much. But i think leaving out "Nu-metal" or Post Grunge (whatever you want to call it) leaves out some great bands like Nickelback, Foo Fighters, Godsmack, Disturbed, Korn, Seether etc.. Now i liked Franz Ferdinand as much as the other 50 people who went out and bought their cd but there's no way they deserve their own era of rock.
