Thanks for the answers. It's actually a song reference. There was a question a little bit ago about stringing song lyrics and this one just kept playing in my head. I was wondering if anyone would complete it. Sorry, I know it's silly.

Hi Mach Pen. I know what you mean. I am a big fan of Koko, but it doesn't look quite right. I'm thinking I'll be switching back soon.

If he speaks normally, then he probably isn't the last of the castrati.

I have a gruff monotone speaking voice, but I find it much easier to sing in high registers. Give me a low singer and I struggle. I'm much more comfortable in a Geddy Lee or Brad Delp range.

One would have to think that the only possible way it could get that high would be through a surgical procedure. And yes, it's the sort of "procedure" most men don't want to think about.

Prof - MachPen speaks the truth. I was that close to switching to a Rob Zombie avatar. :)

Vocal Range is an amazing topic...If I try to sing in Geddy's key I sound like sh-it...throw me down an Amy Winehouse track and I can nail it.

Afternoon Prof
Geddy pretty much speaks like an average Canuck. His singing voice is just all His own, like Dylan or Neil Young

Now, this is crazy Prof. I was going to ask a Geddy Lee related question this weekend, too, but it was going to be phrased more like : "Who else thinks Geddy Lee's voice is annoying?"

yeah. great question. I've seriously been wondering that myself

Must be something in his vocal chords.

I keep wondering how Steven Tyler reaches such high notes.
