Saw them live in Amsterdam 1972 with the Hungarian band Omega, in 1974 with 'Gong', and once again in Vancouver in 76 if I recall.
If you like Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Hawkwind, etc, then check out Nektar. They merge space rock, and hard rock beautifully, especially on their first 5 albums. 'A Tab in the Ocean', 'Down To Earth', 'Sounds Like This', and 'Remember the Future' are remarkable albums, and rank up there with anything the aforementioned big leaguers ever did in my humble opinion. Their 1st album titled 'Journey to the Centre of the Eye', though a little on the psychedelic side, is a perfect example of hard space rock!

The bands recent reunion concerts seemed to have re-sparked some interest, and spawned a couple DVD's which are great as well.
What are some of you favorite Nektar moments?
