(I really like Bob Dylan and his music, but he has a lousy voice. Luckily for him he writes some of the best songs of the last 100 years, songs that don't require great pipes. Wish I could say the same for the rest of the list.)

Let me just say, in all due respect to the Michael Bolton nominators, that although I hate his music and really, really hate when he intrudes upon sacred ground like trying to cover When A Man Loves a Woman by Percy Sledge, he can't be compared to sing through the nose guys like the 5 on my list. Maybe not the Creed guy, he is just really irritating like Phil Collins, who is a category unto himself.

Someone mentioned Michael Bolton already. I hate his voice for those blasphemous remakes he did of soul classics such as Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay. Georgia On My Mind, and When A Man Loves A Woman.
Scary thing is that there are people out there who think he's the epitome of "blue-eyed soul".
