It's an older, scary movie from the 1960s or 70s where people's spirits are stored inside colorful glass bottles in a room or basement of an old mansion. The house is haunted, and a man is fooled into coming there, believing that the people are real - but they aren't. He is lured by a woman who seeks his help (but she turns out to be a ghost too). And when he finally realizes what's going and that the house wants to trap his spirit there as well, he tries to escape (ghostly vapor chases him all the way outside), but just when you think he's made it out the main gate closes on his back, killing him and trapping him.

A very long time ago, I worked at a video store in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, and while the job was not all that enjoyable, I, nonetheless, loved movies. The past several years I've lost touch with it all and I am considering getting a job at the local Blockbuster just to re-acquaint myself to it. This store would not be in Manhattan but in more suburban environs.

I am sure the customers at this Blockbuster will have less apparent sophisticated tastes than those in Manhattan. I say apparent because those in Manhattan were often pretentious stupid bores. So, please don't answer my question with the "hicks at Blockbuster not watching supposedly glorious independent film at the art-house theater" theme.

I needs specifics. Do you have to do inventory with a scanner every week? What day of the week is it done where you are at? Is it after closing? Which days do people want off? How many movies can you rent? And on like this?

Has anyone seen this film? What do you think?

I am of two minds. Thought it could have been worthwhile had the role of the wife been beefed up and/or character of daughter/son introduced.

My own father, then age 95, took up with a younger woman who has displaced me in his will. True, he gave me the occasional £50 for an outfit over many years; but that is not exactly the same thing as one`s inheritance.

The havoc which senile involvement of an older person with a younger can have on the family of the elder is the only redeeming thing about a story like this.

Otherwise it is smutty, seedy and irrelevant.

And that ad campaign.....Venus with coke bottle. What Smut!

The British seem to thrive upon appearing more renegade than the Americans; thus allowing the Americans to come off as morally superior. This is untrue; and for it to appear true Brits must sink their cinema lower than low.

Comments anyone?

For around 5+ years I have heard talk of a movie. I know for sure back when Superman was gonna do the DOOMSDAY story, they were talking of a massive casting call for JOE, equal to that of the funeral scene in Superman.

Everyone that was anyone was gonna be in both movies.

But since then any talk other then people asking about the movie possibility have dissapeared.

Has it been canceled? can anyone tell me

Just wondering if anyone out there knows whatever became of "THE END?"

Set in America.A family buy a perfect dream home. Set within a gated community of houses. The grass is immaculate, there is no litter, no crime. The housing management enforce strict guidelines. One man goes mad and either allows his grass to grow or litters his drive. The mess is cleared up during the day and he mysteriously disappears that night. The neighbours are aware of sinister goings on ,the new family are not. I think the houses were built with spy cameras in them for the management to watch , even the grass sprinklers had them in. I think that there was a curfew, disguised as some way of keeping crime out but it was when the management did their 'clean up' a refuse van would take away trouble makers. Any ideas?
