everyone watches scary movies just the same as at camp they tell scary stories. because of the thrill and suspense, of the action and the Adrenalin rush when something is about to happen. the more imaginative the mind the more thrilling the movie/story. Scary movies are not bad for young minds to a point you just have to use common sense. everyone watches scary movies but how your mind works is the real kicker. if you have convinced your mind that it is all fake and it is not nor ever will be real than you will not get scared, but if some part of you still lives in a fantasy world than you will get scared and you will find a strange and twisted enjoyment out of it.but you have to be careful if you have a bad heart than you can cause your self to have a heart attack not due to the movie but due to the Adrenalin rush you get caused by the suspense of the movie. so the movies are actually good for everyone TO A POINT. USE COMMON SENSE. if they look scared good it will build an imagination for them but if they look petrified than that isn't so good

Children like to feel proud when they do anything that takes guts, so it is mainly a bragging issue, so they can tell everyone they know that they are alowed to or have watched a scary movie. Children are our future, so lets stop them from watching scary movies if their little minds can not handle it, Then again they could watch the news with just as much real life violence.

It is human nature to want something more when you are told not to have it....
When parents say they cant watch a scary movie or world places it as R16 then the want to watch the movie intensifies... as the curiousity kicks in.... what is it that they can watch but i cant???
