I asked this question in the military catagory, and so many people liked it, I thought I would continue to share it. It is the end of a beautiful poem where a soldier is talking to a civilian on Christmas Eve. Enjoy

"But isn't there something I can do, at the least,

"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?

It seems all too little for all that you've done,

For being away from your wife and your son."

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,

"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.

To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,

To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,

To know you remember we fought and we bled.

Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,

That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

God Bless the soldiers who will not be home with their families this holiday season.

The only scene I can remember is a US Huey dropping anti-personnel mines in a rice paddy. The Huey is eventually shot down and the crew taken prisoner byt the VC. One of the American prisoners is made to walk through the rice paddy at gunpoint. Eventually he hits a mine. Does anyone remember the name of the film? Sketchy details I know. Thanks for any sensible answers.

Why do young people like bubble gum music?

And then when people get older, they are ashamed that they liked this stuff?

Such as boy bands?

So many girls love boy bands when they are pre-teens and so on.

And then when they get older, they pretend they never liked this stuff. Why doest this stuff attract young people? Why does it attract anyone at all period ?

my nickname is "cool nerd." but sometimes, i get these extreme answers that contains very discriminatory comments. some said "stfu" or "f-word nerd" or "how can nerds be cool?"

if i changed the picture and name, i get a totally different response! why do people make such malevolent connections in their heads before seeing the truth?

Tell me. Did Micheal Richards (Cosmo Kramer) express his true feeling about African Americans when he was heckled by one during his performance? I saw a few episodes some months ago, and if I'm not mistaken it was on the National Geographic Channel.

They show real cases, of course.

I rememeber at the end of every show a woman's voice says that corpses are the voices from the dead that come back to speak about how they died, and that the forensic pathologist is the interpreter.
