Your asking if a drawing depicting a fictional character is ugly? Is any one person going to think he's attractive? Highly unlikely, yet an interesting concept. I would say no because rather than not having an opinion I respect those who put the work in to create him.

As compared to what? Another sponge or homo sapians? For a sponge I think he is in the top 25% but compared to us he has to be up in the 10%. :-) My grandkids absolutely love him and I also think he is a cute little guy.
