Much of what we watch or hear today is a copy of what was produced in the later part of the last century.

Seems like nothing new is getting produced, just a rehash (sometimes a little different) of what was enjoyed decades past.

You see it especially on commercials, where they beat to death familiar tunes, or create new ones that sound similar but lack the sparkle the original had.

There seems to be a shortage of genuine talent, and this is pervasive.

Your comments and ideas most welcome.

The riddle goes "A man is driving. He doesn't have his headlights on, and the moon isn't shining. The stars aren't visible, either. Somehow he is able to see a man in the middle of the road and miraculously stops in time to save his life. How did it happen?" The man doesn't have anything with him at all except the clothes on his back to signal him, no cell phone, not even a flashlight. These are two complete strangers. They have never met before. and neither of them are psychic.

A baby was born that was so advanced that he could talk. He looked around the delivery room and saw the doctor.

"Are you my doctor?", he asked.

"Yes, I am."

The baby said, "Thank you for taking such good care of me during birth."

He looked at his mother and asked, "Are you my mother?"

"Yes, I am," she said.

"Thank you for taking such good care of me before I was born," he said.

He then looked at his father and asked, "Are you my father?"

There's a film I watcherd a couple of years ago. It's a classic film - I think it may be a musical. It was about a family, the young girl had fallen in love with a soldier (possibly a neighbour?). There was a younger boy that got up to mischief. He used to break a lot of things with his sling-shot. At the end of the film the young girl follows the soldier onto a train full of other army men. This is all I can remember about the film, but I would be grateful if anyone can help find what it's called. Thankyou.
