♥What's happened to the romanticism of classic movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany's and The King and I, for example?

I know!! Although I do agree on one film with smileydaisy... "50 first dates" was very sweet and romantic...
It's not just in films though - it's everything, romance is going down the pan!!
-Men no longer hold doors open for you
-You don't "court" any more... You try to get to "second base"...
-You only get flowers on special occassions - not spontaneuosly.
-A romantic kiss nowadays tends to lead to something else... rather than being just that: "a romantic kiss!"

I ask myself the same thing. I think that our society is so into instant gratification that we have lost romanticism along the way. Since art reflects life, it has spilled over into our films, music, etc.

Indeed Blue what happened? it all sex and no romantic now. My favorite classic movie "All about Eve" plus "What ever happened to baby Jane" lol
