I know!! Although I do agree on one film with smileydaisy... "50 first dates" was very sweet and romantic...
It's not just in films though - it's everything, romance is going down the pan!!
-Men no longer hold doors open for you
-You don't "court" any more... You try to get to "second base"...
-You only get flowers on special occassions - not spontaneuosly.
-A romantic kiss nowadays tends to lead to something else... rather than being just that: "a romantic kiss!"
;-) There are a few of us left....

I ask myself the same thing. I think that our society is so into instant gratification that we have lost romanticism along the way. Since art reflects life, it has spilled over into our films, music, etc.
