Much of what we watch or hear today is a copy of what was produced in the later part of the last century.

Seems like nothing new is getting produced, just a rehash (sometimes a little different) of what was enjoyed decades past.

You see it especially on commercials, where they beat to death familiar tunes, or create new ones that sound similar but lack the sparkle the original had.

There seems to be a shortage of genuine talent, and this is pervasive.

it's all about money and risk.

there is less risk and cost associated with recycling an idea that has already proven to be successful.
