Yes. Envy is the opposite of jealousy. You get envious when someone has something you don't and jealousy is when you have something or someone and that someone or something wants something or someone else. Then you get jealous over that something or someone else. Make sense?

They are one in the same. If you are envious of someone, you want what they have. Isn't that the same as being jealous?

yes sometimes I feel envious of some people who are successful in their lives ,but feeling jealous is a negative feeling when I wish I had something that somebody else has (such as beauty ,clothes ,shoes ...etc)

i think envy is a severe jealousy
u can be jealous but not envious ,but u cant be envious but not jealous.

You can be envious and proud-jealous is all just negative

Yes! They are Completely different. Envy is an "I want to be like them, or have what they have " but it doesn't preclude their having it.
Jealousy wants a thing all to itself at any cost.There is an "exclusive" ownership part of jealousy that is extreemly destructive.
