It seems to correct to use the expression "you couldn't care less," eg: "you couldn't care less about global warming, so don't pretend to be outraged by..."

Yet in everday usage, I more often hear people say "you could care less..." which doesn't make sense, unless intended to be sarcastic.

I know some use web shortcut language, I don't mean that. I mean the questions (or answers) that leave one clueless as to what they are talking about.

It’s true that throughout our collective education experience, we’ve been worked like dogs with assignments, made busy as bees with extracurriculars, and packed like sardines in the hallways. But aside from the occasional tediousness of everyday life at the Fairmont Zoo, we’ve had a pretty good time.

how else can i present these idioms but still have the same meaning with the working hard and busy part?

My new catch word is "GOISE"
say it all the time to everyone, just be proud to know that you helped start the "GOISE" revolution. remember to use it wisely though, and only in the prime goise moment.

I'm reading To Kill A Mockingbird, and there's this question on this worksheet that says, "Discuss the character of Atticus Finch. Does he seem like a true-to-life character? Support your answer with examples from the novel."

What does it mean when it asks if Attucus is a 'true-to-life' character? I don't understand the term, 'true-to-life.'

when do you use who and when do use whom?
I'm so confused, I know that who is in the nominative case and is therefore used as the subjct or predicate noun in the clause. And also that Whom is in the objective case and is therfore used as the direct object or object of the preposition in the clause....but then that contradicts these sentences

for example the correct answer to this is WHOM but I don't undertand why...:
My canidate is whomever you chose
okay shouldn't that be whoever because "is" would make it predicate nominative making it nominative case making it whoever......i don't understand this at all???
every answer i have is wrong...or for the wrong reasons....help please!
