Mean girls just have a lot of emotional problems. I know they are a pain in the butt, but feel sorry for them and be glad you don't have their problems.
As long as you are happy with yourself and your friends, you can afford to ignore the cruel ones. If you are *not* happy with yourself and your friends, work on it.

Gee, I don't know. Maybe they just want people to fear them or respect them in some weird way. Or, maybe, deep down they are the ones afraid and need to behave in this manner to relieve a little cognitive dissonance. In an attempt to avoid being bullied or dissed, they are the ones doing the bullying and dissing. Just a theory.
