The word keenest is the superlative form of the word keen, which means showing a quick and ardent responsiveness.

In other words, the word keenest might mean being the most intellectually alert.

To be keen on something is to really like doing it, eg to be keen on playing the guitar. So, keenest is the most keen - eg.I like rock'n'roll, but i am keenest on Chuck Berry.
Keen also means sharp, as in a knife with a keen blade. Hope this helps.

Possibly you doubt the correctness of the word, as one of your answerers does, but don't worry, it is the right word, as the superlative of 'keen' . It only has one syllable, so the superlative should be formed by adding -est.

It has two possible meanings;-
Sharpest, as in 'This is the keenest knife I have.'
Most enthousiatic, as in 'Michael is the keenest member of our team.'

I hope this helps.

Keen has several meanings. It can mean something is cool or desireable, or something sharp (as a keen blade) and also it can apply to someone who is anxious or happy to do something. (As in, "he was keen to go to the baseball game".)
