I need to create a curriculum plan for an Algebra II classroom. But I am a little stuck on what a curriculum plan is. Are there any good websites with examples or suggestions on how to create one?
Thank you for your help!

I am currently teaching three Korean students English and they want to learn how to write using joined up handwriting. My handwriting is not the best if I'm being polite, and so I could do with printing up some worksheets to help them. Where can I find them online?

Last week I had a confrontation with one of my team members that is in charge of reading lesson plans. When I went to plan a day later, the specific reading manual #2 was missing (out of a collection of 5). This manual was for the specific lesson for that week.
This week, I am missing all the reading worksheets for this week. I normally place them in a reading folder on a shelf by my desk. I stack every subject next to each other for the week.

I just started to make sure my door is locked the past two days per admin. security reasons.

I think she sabatoged me because I didn't have this in any other subj. and this is a FIRST.

Should I tell the principal? I won't go to my team member b/c she is close friends with this teacher. I feel I should just for the record. Should I just take it or confront her?

I'm tempted to complete a TEFL course and teach abroad but I don't have a degree. Will all teaching vacancies abroad need a degree? If anyone has done this course can you tell me it it was good?

I have been teaching in a low income/high risk urban school district for 8 years. I enjoy the kids and the challenge of teaching them, although I do worry about personal safety sometimes. I just feel really burned out because in addition to teaching these little people, I also have MOUNTAINS of paperwork that I am responsible for. It's not important, just BS. that basically justifies someone higher ups' position. I really feel like I cannot do all of this and be an effective teacher, and also a mother-there is just not enough time in the day. I feel as though my family suffers because I am so stressed out when I get home.

I have an undergarduate teaching degree and a master's degree in Liberal Studies( I chose this field of study because I suspected that I could not do my present job for 30 years). What else can I do with these credentials? Please give me some ideas. I'd like to work from home, although that isn't necessary, and I don't want to have to travel.

I am currently studying to become a teacher (Pre-K through 12th Grade) and to prepare for my future career I have started to put together a box of ideas in which I store…well, my ideas as they concern my future class.

Since it is now the holiday season (or that time of year in which calendar holidays run back to back) I have been thinking that for each holiday I would have my students do a major social studies/history project. For example:

During the month of October a student could dress up as a witch and give a report about the Salem Witch Trails or a book about Witches. Or, another student might paint his face as a pumpkin and give a report about pumpkins or Jack-A-Lanterns.

However, I am only aware of a handful of Halloween subjects/ topic that would be considered school board approved and I do not want to limit my students to three topics. Can anyone provide me with a lisit of subjects and topics that I can lisit on my paperwork?

Nigh
The silence of night
Flows around me
Like enormous undersea current.

I lie on the bottom of dumb, green water.
I hear my heart
Sending its light and dark signals
Like light house.

A voiceless rhythm
A secret code
I decipher no mysteries.

At each flash of light
I close my eyes
To keep the continuity of darkness
The endlessness of the silence
Engulfing me

I have a great job teaching Physical education in the suburbs of Chicago. The job, pay, and benefits are great, but things at work are really getting me down. I love to teach, but there are lots of factors that are telling me to move on. I have had many clashes with students, staff, and parents, and my principal can tell I am not happy working here. I am leaning toward quitting, but I know that if I do quit, the staff members who hate me will win and get what they want. Granted, I have made a few mistakes along the way as a teacher, but some of those staff members have had it in for me from day one. I really dont have any real job prospects at the moment, and I dont know what to do.

I'm currently in school for art ed - I should be starting my student teaching next September. I feel totally lost, though! I have no idea what lessons are appropriate for what age level or how to discipline. None of my classes have even gone over how to grade students! They're just throwing us in there when I feel like there's so much more I need to know.

Do these things come to you with experience - like trial and error - or am I getting a substandard education?
