Every where I look now, everything is in sparish. Why can't the people that come from another country speke english, I get so tired of seeing this. If I was in that country I would have to speke their language.

Well the hispanic population in the United States is growing. And especially in Texas and California, there are a lot of illegals who come through the border with no education--so of course they cannot speak English...

that's why there are so many bilingual signs and Spanish translations on the phone...

But you are right...THEY should learn to speak English. When you go to another country, you must learn to speak the native language NOT expect people to learn your language! If I chose to go live in Mexico, I would learn Spanish...I wouldn't make Mexicans learn English.

So I get what you're saying...I'm tired of it too...but too bad we can't do anything about it. We learn their language because they won't learn our language...

Well, I'm not quite familiar with the "sparish" language or what exactly pushing the #1 on your phone has to do with it.

But, you should just get used to the fact that people are going to speak multiple languages in a country where nearly everybody is an immigrant in one form or another. Other countries don't have many problems with it. Take Europe for example. There are probably 20 languages spread out over that continent with people speaking them in every country, and they seem to get along pretty well.

Nobody is forcing you to speak a different language, so why should you be allowed to force other people to do the same?

Why can't you spell in English? It's spelled SPANISH, and SPEAK. By the way, "English" when referred to as a language should always be capitalized.

Lastly, your sentence should read: "If I was in that country I would have to speak ITS language." Although it is unclear what you meant by "that" country.

A wise old man once said: "People in glass houses should not throw stones."

Would you prefer to have to wait until #9 to have English as your choice? I think it's rather considerate of companies to make it the first option instead of the last...
