I am going to take my SAT in december, and i need some help because i don't know anything about the test.

-i dont know how to study for it
-i dont know what is a good score.
-i dont know what is a bad score.
-I dont know if i should study the dictionary.
-I dont know if i should buy and SAT book.
-I dont know if i can study with a friend.
-And i just plain, flat out, seriously have no clue what is means when someone says "Study for the SAT" because how can you study for a test that you have no clue what will be on it. You cant simply go through the dictionary and memorize every word, you cant go all back through highschool and re-learn all the math that you have forgotten, or simply quickly learn all the things you havent learned yet.
This whole thing is just a bluuur and i dont know what to expect or how to prepare myself so i am just basically freaking out, because this rediculous test will determine what i will do for the rest of my life!!!!!

HELP!

the term "failing" can be subjective or objective, depending on how you look at it . . . so, i'm asking, subjectively, what do you consider a "failing" grade?

80%?
70%?
60%?
<50%?

:(

I've done the IQ test several times, and the funny thing is that two years ago I had 136, then the next year 114 and the latest one showed 124! I really start to doubt in these tests now... Or, does this mean that I was loosing intelligence for a year or so and now I'm starting to recover? :P

I've tried alot of IQ tests online, and they given me an iq as hi 181!

I tried the Tickle test, and I scored 133, I also tried intelligencetest.com, and scored 150. I've tried testcafe.com, and it's 181!

I would APPRECIATE it if you could give me the link to an accurate IQ test that has an average score of 100.

hey i was just wondering, im really struggling in school right now. and i guess its just because all of my classes are super hard for me this year. i'm really unstable on which to drop. you see i am doing really really bad in math right now, (honors pre-calc) like i have an F, and in AP us history i have a B, but like i think i have a B in that class because i pay more focus on that class instead of math since AP class has more work. so im wondering which should i drop? should i drop math and just keep on focusing on AP like i am right now or should i drop history and focus on math more? please help and thank youu

I'm a high school junior interested in majoring in Biochemistry once I graduate from college in order to pursue a potential career in medicine.

I've taken the SAT (2200) in October, and I plan to retake in December.

I also plan to take SAT Chemistry, SAT US History, and SAT Spanish.

Should I take SAT Math IIC as well?

I understand that students who plan on majoring in the sciences are highly encouraged to take a science SAT (for which I am taking Chem) and a math SAT. I believe I am a high-performing math student (I received As in all my math classes since Pre-Algebra in sixth grade and Calculus AB this year), but I absolutely HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE studying for math! I say high-PERFORMING, because the only reason I PERFORM well is because I study! I am certainly not math "gifted," so I would really not like to take SAT Math. However, if I study for the exam, I am confident that I will score well (760+).

Also (I'm not sure how significant this is), but my ethnicity group

I want to take the SAT in the spring and want to get 3 or 4 books to study. I know for sure I'm getting the "Official SAT Study Guide" and I'm going to need the "Hot Words for the SAT" so I need opinions for which other book I should get. My GPA isn't so strong so I need good SAT scores. Here's my list:

-Official SAT Study Guide
-Hot Words for the SAT
-Cracking the SAT, by Princeton Review
-Barron's SAT 2400:Aiming for the Perfect Score
-Barron's Critical Reading Workbook for the SATs
-Cracking the SAT Math 1 & 2 Subject Tests

Anyone who's taken the SAT, which book was most useful? and is it necessary to get SAT Subject Test books to study?
