I'm 16 in highschool, I know IQ isn't the most important thing in the world but it seems like there's a lot of people who know their IQ where do you take an IQ test anyway? Someone mind going a little bit in detail about it?

I do not want to unnecessarily stress out my daughter so I would very much like some outside opinions. Do you think if she were to take a couple of subject tests right after her finals for the same subjects that it would be too stressful or is that killing two birds with one stone so to speak? At first I thought it may be a bad idea, then I though well if she has to study any way... I would actually appreciate the advice of high school juniors and seniors here and those who were recently in that position. This would be for the end of the semester in January. If she doesn't do very well we'd do it again in June which would be right around finals anyway, right? Though she would have a few more months knowledge in some classes but then she'll know what to expect on the tests.

Also any other tips would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Surely the purpose of testing is to seperate people into appropriate levels.i.e. the potential rocket engineers seperated from the plumbers and street sweepers. If everyone is passing and everyone is going on to get "degrees" at university what is the point?

I have to debate this... I, of course, pulled Pro standardized testing but i cant find any research that backs it up.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how soon colleges receive SAT scores? If I decide to send my scores to colleges upon signing up for the SAT, do the colleges receive the scores as soon as I receive mine online?
i.e. If I took the test Oct. 6, and the scores are online by Oct 30th, will the colleges receive the scores on the 30th?
